and I literally laughed out loud.. I'm not a mean person (sometimes) but.... this was funny so I had to share..

"Ok so we are at the restaurant the FI manages and his one manager says "I saw his tattoo it's pretty cool." I'm like "tattoo?" Well he spoiled FI's surprise but that's ok. He got my name tattooed on his arm in Japanese letters. I almost cried, I'm so excited to be his wife. Wow I never thought he'd do something like that. "

I'm not big on S/O tattos but I do have one dedicated to FI.  It's not a name but a phrase.  I too think names is bad luck

Ok i don't mean to sound bad but how does she know it is really her name? I have a rule. If i did give brith to you your name is not being tattoed on my body.

I love tatoos if they are artistic and well done (I love my fiance's), but I would NEVER tatoo someone else's name on myself!  If he got my name, I would be a little creeped out.  But hey, maybe this guy wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed...maybe he needed a reminder of her name? LMAO I'm so bad!

I guess it worked out that the girl liked the tattoo, it would have been very bad for the guy if she was not into it.
