*Weds 4/6 Accountability!

Happy Hump Day May-ladies! Well, it's my Thursday, but who's counting?? ;op

W/O: Yesterday, I stuck to my guns and did Insanity: Plyo Cardio Circuit. It was pretty hard because I have a 'bum' left ankle (sprained it a couple of years ago) and it was bugging me so I did the workout just not as high impact as I'd like to.
Today - Insanity: Cardio Recovery (32 mins) and trying to jog about a mile before to loosen up the ankle **Done!

B: FF Cottage cheese w/fresh strawberries (yay, it's season!) and agave nector
L: Healthy Choise Turkey Marsala meal
S: brought unsweetened apple sauce, Gala apple, almonds, and a spinach almond salad in my lunch baggie to work
Post W/O: ON 100% Chocolate Whey + Chobani blueberry yogury
D: Not sure if we'll do chicken sausage and brown rice or healthy from Wendy's because of softball tonight

  • Allrecipes.com is full of tons of good stuff.  It's not aimed at healthy choices though.  I just skim through there when I'm stuck in a rut and modify a recipe

  • Yes because the river will SUCK if it's cold! (haha...the gators won't come out to say hi)

I subscribe to both OXYGEN and Women's Health which are two great magazines for not only fitness tips but workouts (esp for when traveling and have no equipment) and healthy recipes! (FI gets Men's health and theirs are great too)

Clean Eating (a book) came from Oxygen too and those recipes are super clean, but good to throw in every once in a while

Rachel Ray has great recipes you can make quickly and you can adjust ingredients to make them healthier if higher in fat, etc.

  • I make a lot of recipes from Taste of the Home they have so many different kinds of recipes to accommodate different diets. Plus most of the recipes take less than 30 mins, and there is a whole section for under 30 mins meals.

  • The FI  is the cooker in this relationship. I do use Speakpeople recipes since it's on my phone and easy to use when we go shopping. I love to mix and match whatever I think sounds good all together (i.e. learned this from mom's "corn casserole" since all dad and I could tell was in it was .. corn. haha)

Side Note: I was asked by one of my students if I lost weight! Awesome! =o))

B: Oatmeal, Skinny Latte, Ice Tea from Starbucks
    MS: Nothing
L: Salmon, Rice, Mushrooms, Orange Peppers
AS: Red Peppers with 1 Tablespoon of 3-Cheese Ranch
D: Probably the same thing as lunch since I made four serving to make it easier for me when deciding what to eat! =o))

WO: Today is my day off from the C25K! Yay! I teach class tonight so I'll get home around 8pm and try to break a sweat cleaning and washing clothes! lol
