Are any of you girls hiring a videographer? 

I want to but I am SO picky and dont like anything in my area. If I could hire anyone it would be Still Motion: http://stillmotionblog.com/ I love their work but so $$$$.

And if you go to the blog and watch the videos be prepared to have kleenex! I can never watch with dry eyes.

I want to hire a videographer, but honestly I don't think it is going to be in my budget :'( I'm just going to have to wait it out and see.  I might just have to have someone in my family record the wedding.  No it won't be professional quality but at least I will have video.

I might just have a family member or friend record the ceremony and some of the reception, no professional though.

I booked one through my photographer and it cost us $1550. a little pricey for 4 DVDs...but my father is the only one i know who has a camcorder and wont be able to tape it...and my luck ill ask someone to tape and they will either forget the camera, make an excuse as to why they forgot the camera, or not show up period. so i went the safe route.

We are only having a videographer because I found (what I think) is a good deal (we live in an area where things can get pricey fast). For $250 we're getting: single camera, wireless microphone, 3 edited & titled DVDs with scene selection menus and up to 2 hours coverage on site. The videographer's work isn't fancy, but it will be nice to go back and be able to watch our ceremony.
If we didn't find someone for that price point we weren't going to have one.

Our photographer also offers videography, so we booked a photo & video package together and got a pretty good deal.

I am having MOH's dad who is a big techy and videotapes everything do it for us.

My Fi and I booked the photographer and the videographer from the same comapany but we have to pay separate for both the photographer is 3000 and the video is 1900 but honestly im considering canceling the video because i think is too expensive, and maybe look around for a cheaper one. Good Luck

I am having a videographer. I got a good deal from a drawing at a bridal show. I get 5 cameras, wireless mic, 3 sets of DVDs, limo cam, still pics from the video. The price is $700. The only reason I decided to do videographer is because my cousin is doing the photography for $200.

I'm having a videographer, no question. My mom passed away when I was in high school and I love to watch video's of her and hear her voice. I still have pictures, but I watch the video's so much more. I wish I had a video of my parent's wedding.

I'm spending about the same amount (a little less) on my vidoe as I am on my photos. This is who I am using..
