Ladies I have to say I absolutely love our board!  I don't always post but I try to when I can!  But I love that there isn't really any drama on our board!  I'm literally scared to post on some other boards because there always seem to be a few girls in each board that seem to attack some people who post!  I'm not saying these ladies are really wrong but wow I'd hate to be the person getting attacked!  Thank you ladies for making our board a fun, drama free place, where I feel I can come and ask questions and talk to you ladies!

I find a lot of drama on the "Etiquette" board, especially when the posts start with, "I know this isn't proper etiquette but is it okay too..." I think sometimes people just don't like what they hear.

Yea I agree a lot of people don't like what they hear, but I feel like people feel they can be meaner and more rude on the internet because you aren't face to face with someone!  I totally agree with if you ask for advice you need to be able to accept the good and the bad but some people are just not nice about it in general!

I know from reading the boards that some things would be bad to post on a certain board! 

I'm just glad all the ladies here are civil and mature about things!

I got my throat slit because I said I talk things over with my FI before I make big decisions. Apparently, they were all super independent women and took great offense to that. I like to get his opinions on the matter, ultimately I make the decision but I didn't explain it out completely so I got my head torn off b/c "I can't think for myself" lol Sometimes you just have to ignore the nastiness. I try to be understanding and helpful on these boards so I hope I don't come off rude!

Yea sometimes people get crazy on some of the other boards lol.  I'm glad its not like that over here!  You definitely have to ignore a lot of stuff.  And I haven't encountered anyone being rude on our board not yet at least!

I think its one thing to give you opinion and advice but its another when girls are just downright nasty about it!

I totally agree with you!! This is the only board I post on to ask for advice because I got ripped a new one on the etiquette board for asking if it's ok to put "adults-only reception" on the invite. Yikes!!

I am right there with you ladies.  Eventhough I do tend to be very opinionated towards certain things, I don't think I would ever be as harsh to someone asking for advice as many of the "ladies" on here.  I once asked about serving just hor 'deurves and was ridiculed and called rude lol.  Learned my lesson

I completely agree! I try not to stray too much from ths board and my local board. Some of the ladies are just super harsh for no reason. I'm glad that everyone on this board can agree to disagree and not be mean about it! You ladies are the best!    Woohoo May 2012!

I must say the May 2012 board is the best by far!!! I agree I post mostly on our board and occassionally on the DW... My local board is silent we dont have post for days at times... Luckly I havent came across being mean but I have seen it...

Yikes!  I have only visited this board and my local board.  I love them both!
 I never knew that the other boards could be so mean.  That's awful!  We are all just trying to navigate our way through the wedding planning process.  Sheesh!

This is why I only most on this board and my local board. I've read some other boards and some ladies are just brutal.

I hope we continue this great streak..and I agree...I'm on the DW board but I mostly lurk seems like they have 'cliques' know what I mean? And when I post no one answers or says much. I love this board, and we have a little over another year together xoxo

Couldn't agree more! I was accused of being selfish when I posted we were thinking of having a Friday wedding on another board! I’m so glad I can trust my fellow May 2012 brides to give me their honest opinions in a civilized way!

I feel the same way. I've tried to post on other boards but some of them are really rude! I always feel comfortable sharing my thoughts with you all! I would post on my local board,,,but they are never on it!

What I find annoying is that TK is for brides to ask other brides about wedding related things, yet when you ask a wedding related question you often get your head ripped off because you didn't know the answer. Um hello most ladies on here have never been married before so how would they know this information?

I'd say about 70% of my posts go to this board, 20% on the DIY board, and the last 10% on my local board (which is usually boring and not worth my time).  I've definitely seen some really nasty things, but I just think of it this way:  It's YOUR wedding, do what YOU want with it, and if someone has a problem...tell them to SIT ON IT!

I agree, there are some personal attacks on other boards...but really what's the point of insulting someone on an online forum? We definitely don't need any bitchy bridzillas on this page! Hopefully new come-ers will pick up on the "feel" of this board and if not then our wonderful moderators can (hopefully) will address the issue...

@Lissa1213: I can't see them letting the board become a hostile place, and I agree with a PP,...most of us are first time brides looking for answers so why are some so pompous?

I'm so glad I have this board. I know how mean other girls can be on the other boards. So if I ever have questions, I just ask you girls. I have my local board, but its so dead over there. I'm on this board all day at work.. I just refresh the page every time I get a minute to see if theres anything new! Thank goodness for you girls!

I have to agree. I love you girls you are all awesome. It's nice to have you all to talk to about this stuff. I post on here and sometimes on the second wedding board. But some girls can be nasty. I am glad we are all nice toeach other.

YAY I love reading all of these things about our board!! I am so proud to be a mod for this great board. And yes Kat, if you ever go on vaca, I will totally cover. And we will be deleting and posts that attack other knotties.

I totally agree! I was thinking of making a post like this last week. My local board is *dead* and the other board I would like to post on (a cultural board that will remain unnamed) is frightening! I'm afraid I'll get attacked if I make a peep!
