I just got off the phone with my mother and we were talking about my guest list. I asked her if she could get a list together of her family that I should invite to the wedding. Then I brought up to her how I dont plan on having guests bring a guest, Unless they are married, serious relationship, or living together. Those are the exceptions. And she was like "WTF?! You have to let single guests bring a guest/date."
And there are quite a few friends and family who arent married or in serious relationships. I was trying to get her to understand that I do not understand why I should have people at my wedding who are complete strangers. Just so the 'single' people can have someone to dance with. LOL
Anytime I think of someone bringing a guest/date to a wedding, I just think of them having a really boring time because they dont know a single person there. And then it just makes my guest list go up tremendously, which makes the catering costs also go up. Now I'm confused as to what I should do. And I will add that my mom is not paying for the wedding. So what should I do? What are you girls doing about your guests bringing dates who dont even know you??
