Newly engaged, just saying hi :)

Hello :)  I've been with my man for 7 years, he proposed on our anniversary March 16th.  We originally chose the date of 05/31/14, but after I fell madly in love with a certain venue that was already booked that day, we decided on the date 09/13/14.  We have made our deposit at http://allureone.com/, we will have the wedding and reception there.  We both agree that our most important costly aspects are the reception (having a great party for our friends) and the photos.  With so much time I'm basically just doing a lot of 'window shopping' right now.  It's hard not to go crazy, lol.

Congrats!  and Welcome!   you do have a lot of time before your wedding, so my suggestion is to sit back and enjoy being engaged for a while.

The other thing is, I suggest trying to break yourself from referring to him as "my man".  He is your fiance, or your future husband, or some variation thereof.  "my man" sounds pretty juvenile, honestly.

Welcome to the Hotel Knot, congrats, and happy planning!

What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14
