Mayernik Brides

Can you give me a little information, please?

I am helping one of my daughter's friends by doing some venue researching.
I remembered the Mayernik today.

Can you bring in any caterer -- or do you have to use one recommended by the Avonworth Community Park?

And is the Mayernik BYOB?

I sent her the link to the website.

Thanks.

    Hello,

I am getting married at Mayernik this Sept. and you can only use 1 of there 4 preferred caterers. It is BYOB for wine and hard liquior only. They will give you a sheet on how much to buy. You use one of there bartenders for $125 and you order kegs of beer thru them. They also provide the soft drinks and water.

Also if you hold the ceremony outside like we are, you have to bring in your own chairs or seating. They do not provide anything for that.

They just started renting chair covers and sashes, can't remember the prices cause I bought my own sashes. But they just have basic colors like white and I think it was black sashes.

You get 5 hrs unless you do the ceremony there too and you get 5 1/2. All events on the weekends must end by 11pm. You can do a rehearsal before the wedding and there is no charge.

Also you either rent just the mayernik (if you do this since its a community park there will be people walking around) or you can rent the mayernik and the pavillion, or the ALL of Avonworth community park( does not include playground and pool but they arent that close) if you rent everything like we did people outside of your wedding will not be allowed in.

They also close off the parking lot, and its only open to your wedding guests.

There is a bridal suite and private bathroom for the bride thats larger and easier to use with the wedding dress!

We are going with Monteveredes catering which is just down the street on camp horne road and the owner debbie is very nice, she created a custom menu for us and it was only $12.25 a head, includes polyester linens(do not go all the way to the ground) and skirting. And they stay the entire time to take care of everything.

Hope this helps! If you have any other questions you can send me a message! The mayernik and avonworth is beautiful but they book up fast!

Thanks so much for all of the info!
    That was very helpful.  :)

Their wedding will be next year -- and I know that they want to get the venue reserved as soon as possible.

Also- did you have to pay extra for the dishes and silverware or is that included in the caterer's price?

All of that is included in the caterers price, we are getting two meat options 2 veggies, salad, rolls/butter, coffee, tea, sugar/creamer,watter, all of the tableclothes, and cloth napkins, plus they skirt the head table cake table, buffet table, cookie table, gift table and place card table. The have all sorts of colors in the polyester linens. But we bought satin overlays ourselves for the guest tables. So idk if they offer any of that. The food is really good and they do a lot. I was shocked when everything was included for $12.25. They were the least expensive of the 4 caterers!
