Second time bride wearing mint green

I am excited about it... but had a relative freak right on out.... but I don't seem to care... I think it will be a nice little touch, since it is my favorite color and it is MY wedding...  Anyone else encounter relatives reacting poorly to non-traditional wardrobe choices?

You can wear a dress in a color other than white or ivory.

I would suggest you avoid using the phrase "it is MY wedding", though. It comes across a little bridezilla-y on the interwebz.

There are always going to be negative opinions on everything. There is nothing wrong with you choosing an non-bridal drss.

Wear color!  I love second time brides that choose to wear a fun color. I say boo to whoever doesn't agree with this choice.

Thanks yall... well, I was kind of saying the "my wedding" tongue in cheek.  I realize that didn't come across... I am not like that at all, in real life.  I just am someone that wants the unusual.... and feel that if they don't want mint green, then they shouldn't wear it.  I am having a wonderful and small lemonade and BBQ party, very peaceful and relaxed... the colors of hydrangea flowers... Japanese lanterns, and silk fans- just fun...

I love it! I'm a first time bride and I'm wearing gold instead of white. Originially I was thinking red but couldn't find a fabric I loved. Go for it!

Thanks!!!  It is truly my favolicious color.... and I want to express some major joy LOL.... I say color is fab!!! I wore a giant birthday cake type white dress for my first wedding, and it was in 1993.... mind ya... so it was the style... so DIFFERENT is great to me... I am also wearing a lovely peacock feather rhinestone hairband, with a teensy bit of birdcage netting... and voila!!!

Sounds awesome. I bet your FI will love that you expressed your personality in your wedding attire versus conforming because you got some razzing. Kudos.

Yes, well he will be so surprised, because green is his fav color too... and he has NO idea i am wearing it.... he assumes i am wearing ivory... I am excited!
