Happy Tuesday

Good Morning! I'm up and out early for a meeting (at Dunkin Donuts of all places) that should keep me eating healthy! Nothing too much to report other than the curly willow branches for my centerpieces and vases for candles came in last night. We just played with the kitten we are watching pretty much all night and I actually went to bed early for once.

Hope everyone has a great day!

    Morning,
I'm beat.  Yesterday I didn't do much at all.  I was tired from the weekend, so I went grocery shopping and put some more stuff on T2T that I found at my parents house.  Otherwise I just hung out all day.
Turns out the friends we had over last weekend brought their dog and it had  fleas....now we think we may have fleas and will have to bug bomb!  I'm so pissed off.  Not doing to much today other then cleaning the house.
Trish-That's exciting that your centerpieces items came in.  Are you going to start making them soon?  Or wait until closer to the date?

Morning! Yesterday after work I hit the gym (finally) but then came home and made orange chicken and ate chocolate. Hopefully they cancelled each other out haha.

I had full intentions of doing work last night but then got caught up on designing t-shirts for everyone for my bachelorette weekend. There are 18 of us going, and I originally designed these AWESOME t-shirts, but it would have cost $300 to get in on time! So I went to another website, used the same design but a little plainer, and got them for $90 (with rush shipping). Big difference.

Busy day at work then have a jewelry party to go to tonight.

Trish-exciting about the centerpieces! you'll have to share pics when you test them out.
Heather-that stinks about the fleas! I would be mad too!

GM!  I moved really slowly yesterday in lab and ended up being there for 12 hours...ugh.  I'm hoping today goes quicker!  I did talk to Randi Voss yesterday, and she seems cool.  We are meeting with her next month when we go to Pittsburgh!

Hope everybody has a good day!

Trisha- playing with the kitten sounds fun... i love cats.
H- wow, that really sucks about the fleas!  I hope you can get rid of them easily.
Jamie- Glad you could get the shirts for cheaper!  What does a jewelry party entail?

I didn't know it was possible to be this exhausted-- both mentally and physically! I need a vacation Embarassed

No rest for the weary, right? Last night I started to design our programs and cut out our escort cards.  We got our first "no" RSVP last night! (A small happy dance as we invited 400 people and would like to have about 300)

Trisha- Yay for your centerpiece supplies coming in!  Any pictures?
Heather Lynn- I would be so upset about the flees too, hopefully you can get rid of them quickly!
    Jamie- Enjoy your jewelry party!
Marci-I hope your day goes by quickly, that is my wish every morning too Smile

Marci-its kind of like a tupperware party but with jewelry. Someone hosts it in their house and you buy things so they get credit or whatever. I really dont like them because I feel obligated to buy something, but its FI's SIL, so I have to go.

Duq-we invited 456 (although we counted "and guest" in that #) and are hoping for 310; however I have been getting more NOs so I'm starting to get nervous we'll be at a low #! Cry I'm actually trying to think of my B list now haha

    Good Morning Ladies,

Last night, I played with my iPad and got a sample invite in the mail! http://www.weddingpaperdivas.com/product/4919/signature_white_textured_wedding_invitations_charming_blooms.html#color/02 In eggplant cover. I really like them, and I like the card stock they are on. I think we may go with them.

Today will probably be crazy b/c congress is back for the day to vote on the education jobs package. I wish they would just leave and stay gone, recess is such a nice time around here!

Ros- Enjoy DD! I had an iced coconut coffee there recently and it was DELISH!
H- Boo on fleas!!! That completely stinks!!! I hope you can get rid of them quickly!
Jamie- Sweet deal on the shirts! Do you have a picture?
Md- Randi Voss' pictures are great! I'm biased towards Joanna, but Randi's are quite nice!
Duq- In a little under two months, you'll get your vacation!!!

    Good Morning Ladies!
Last night was an ok night... I had to run to the pet store after work to get a few more bags of dog litter (yes... I litter trained my dog! lol) then I went home and went over to the gym - FI was working last night so I was on my own... After the gym I took a quick shower, made a sandwich for dinner, and sat down to watch the Bachelor Pad! lol - it was pretty entertaining! lol... Nothing else too exciting!

Trisha - I absolutely LOVE Dunkin Donuts iced carmel lattes! lol... omg - it's FI and my guilty pleasure ;) And YAY for your curly willows coming in!!

Heather - omg - that STINKS about the fleas! ugh - I'd be SO mad too!

JamieK - $90 for 18 shirts is amazing! What site did you use? I was hoping to use customizedgirl.com but if there is a site that is cheaper I'm ALL about it!

md - yay for talking with the photog! I hope your upcoming meeting goes well! And I hope this day goes by quickly for you!

Meg - I hear you on being exhausted! ugh... I'm dying here! I even get sufficient sleep and am STILL super tired ALL the time :( boo... and lol about the happy dance! haha - we'll be inviting almost 400 ppl and I would love to only have 200 max there! Not sure if that will happen though...

ETA: Jamie- LOVE the invites!! SUPER cute!!

Good Morning! I'll join the exhausted club. I feel like I need another vacation, and I just got back from one a few weeks ago. Embarassed I was so depressed last night I just wanted to cry. All I did was prepare food the entire night- first dinner, then prepped chicken for tonight's dinner, which didn't go so well, showered, and packed my lunch. DH helped a lot, but that was my whole night sadly. I can't even imagine trying to do grad school and work (been thinking of going back...), or being responsible for someone else (i.e. kids) someday!

Tricia- Yay for WR items coming in the mail!

H- Ughh, I'd be SO mad. GL, I hope you get rid of them asap!

JamieK- Enjoy the jewelry party tonight! Those things are fun, but I don't like the pressure I feel to buy.

Marci- Hope you don't end up spending 12 hours in the lab again! That's a really long day.

Meg- Yay for your first "no"! I didn't realize you invited so many.
Jamie- I love those invitations- they are perfect for your wedding!
G- I admire your gym time yesterday. I wanted to workout, but of course didn't have the time.

Gm all! Dh and I tried to go to the gym last night (which is all of 2 months old) and when we arrived, it was closed for 4 days due to a water break. Would it be too hard to send out an email to members? Dh is back on ww so I'm really trying to support him. Jamie- I have a purse party to go to tonight and feel the same way you do! I hate imitation bags, definitely don't want to buy anything and just overall giant waste of my time. Whoa gmc/duq/jamie- I can't imagine knowing 400 plus people I would potentially want to pay for their dinner. Lol, not sure if that makes me snobby or cheap, lol. We invited 156, 135 rsvp'd yes, 120 showed up day of (we had a snowstorm and some people were not equiped to handle weather). That was all I could handle preparing for!

My family is large and I do know every single person on my parent's invite list.  DF and I have a lot of friends we invited and his parent's well, they decided to invite everyone they ever knew!  When my sister sent out invites for my shower she received phone calls from people who did not know my DF or his parents.... ended up being neighbors of FIL's that had moved away like 10 years prior. AWESOME!

I think his parent's felt as though we give them the option to have 125 people at the reception and they feel the need to have that many there.  I wish someone could explain why FSIL gets to have her 2 best friends at the wedding?!?!! WTH!  //end rant!

Jamie - Almost all of our guests are family or close family friends AND we had to massively cut back on my family list!  Both FI and I have giant families so we were kind of doomed to have a large wedding. Ideally, I would love to have MAX 200 at the wedding... and I'm selfishly hoping that a lot of them will be 'NO's --  I think a lot of FIs family's guests will be no's  b/c they don't want to travel from Philly to Pittsburgh for the wedding... I guess we'll see! It was funny actually, when I was writing my STD addresses I laughed b/c besides my bridal party I'm only inviting 3 of my friends and their guests!! lol crazy... FI has quite a bit more friends he's inviting than I do. It was just funny to me...

Meg-We're inviting 190 and we are hoping for around 150-175!  No pictures yet, I was actually too distracted by playing with the kitten to even open the boxes!

Gianna- I tuned in to the Bachelor Pad for a little as well... what a bunch of nuts!

Jamie-I had a chocolate donut and a coffee and I just know that it is going to be too hot to want to go to the gym or for a run tonight... oh well!

    Jamie- I love the invites!

Kim- I hope you feel better! I am also in the same mind set of wanting to go back to school by 2012 and maybe start THINKING about kids not too long after.. its f'n scary! I hear a lot of people who are afraid of getting married, which I understand, but the having kids part is what really scares the sh*t out of me!

Bri- I would have been secretly excited if my gym was closed lol

Good Morning Ladies!  I'll also hope on the exhausted train - but then tuesday is always worse for me tired wise than monday. We had a great weekend celebrating FIs bday and yesterday night we just played a bit of catch up (grocery shopping, laundry, fixing the garage door) since we didn't do any house related things over the weekend. Looking forward to more of a relaxing evening tonight! Thinking about making sloppy joes for dinner ...

Ros- very exciting for the centerpiece items coming in! I also heart Dunkin Donuts - esp their coffee! I'm so sad I dont have one closer to me and don't work in town anymore :(
Heather - that sux about the dog and fleas! Hope its not too too terrible for you

Jamie - i love designing t-shirts for events! Did you use a website?

md - i really loved the look of Randi Voss' photos but unfortunately she wasn't available on our date.

Megan - you're making lots of great progress on your to-dos!

Jlbax - LOVE the invites! So cute!

gmc - thats soo awesome that you litter trained your puppy! I wish we had thought to do that. I also use customizedgirl.com for designing tshirts - they always have some sort of coupon code that you can use!

Kim - Hope your feeling better today! I also agree about the kids thing - i can't imagine coming home from work and trying to do all the things I need to get done PLUS being responsible for a little one! Definitely not ready for that at ALL!

bri - thats super annoying about the gym. Its hard enough to get motivation to actually GO and then its closed!

Good morning ladies! Today, I just have a doctors appointment and then work at 7. Not too bad at all!

Ros: I can't wait to see a mock of your centerpieces!
Heather: If you have problems getting rid of the fleas, let me know. You might have to treat your yard as well. That sucks though I'm sorry :(
    Jamie K: I love designing t-shirts! I bet they look awesome :)
md: I hope your lab time goes faster today! I'm meeting with Randi on Friday, I can't wait!
Megan: I hope your day goes quickly!
Jamie: I hope today isn't too busy for you!
G: I love nights like that :) I guess you have a teeny dog, I couldn't imagine litter training my 40 pound lap dog :p
Kim: I'm sorry you had a rough night.
Bri: That stinks about the gym. I agree with you, an email would have been nice!
db: Happy birthday to your FI!

We're also looking at a large number of guests. Both of us have big families and we have a lot of friends. FI has a group of friends from high school that he is very close with, I am an advisor for my sorority, and we have a group of "our friends".

Have a great day ladies! I'll be back after my appointment!

Jamie-the 456 number includes the +1 option that we gave a lot of people (for example...even my grandmother got a "and guest" on her invite), so my ACTUAL # is probably a lot lower. I will say my mother probably dominated the guest list, but thats only becasue she invited every single person that works in the OR with her. In her defense a few things to consider:
-she has worked this same job her entire career (over 30 years) so I know every single person. I've been to most of their kid's weddings/graduation parties/baby showers/etc. Its just the culture at her work
-I ended up cutting some of her neighbors/work people and then she wrote me a check to pay for the extra so I couldnt tell her no

I also work in a "all or nothing" kind of job so my work list is pretty extensive, however I've been at the same school for 9 years now (student, then fellow, now faculty)
