If this were a size bigger....opinions?

Hi all. I do already have a dress that I have been fighting with. I just feel like the style does not go well with my venue. It feels more for like a beach wedding. I have decided to at least go in for another visit and try on more before deciding.

What do you think of this dress? I realize it is TOO SMALL in the pic and it is making the too big longlinebra that I had on U nderneath bunch up.

However, if dress s in RIGHTT size , with the right size longline bra and with thigh and tummy control spanx on, what do you think of it? I am thinking of going back with all of these undergarments that I now have to try it on again. In a bigger size this time.

I am really looking for something that has a strap/sleeve and all of the sweetheart dresses that have a cap sleeve make my boobs look ten times bigger than they are.

I see that the v-necks and the strapless dresses work best with my boobs but I do not want a strapless.

Thoughts? The first pic is of me in it - it's the only size they had in store and I would need to order bigger. The last 2 pics are of someone else so you get the idea of how it is supposed to lay.

  • I think that's a really beautiful dress, and I think it will look great on you (and already does!... just needs a tad bit more room)

If I'm remembering you correctly, it seems that you've had a lot of posts about issues with your dress. It seems you have been really unsure about it. It sounds like you should just sell your old dress, and pick another, but once you do, stop second guessing and stop looking at others! :)

Thank you. They are actually going to let me exchange it :)
  • If you are really really unsure about your dress, then go for another. But make sure it is something you love. What attracted you to the first dress? Why are you struggling with it now? Make sure to not repeat those things.

  • It is beautiful and you look great in it. I totally get the big boob thing and the strapless thing. :)

I am sorry you are struggling with your first dress. I know how much it blows second-guessing your dress choice. I personally think it looks great on you! But what matters is how you feel in it.
I understand the 2nd dress is too small, but I think it makes your boobs look wayyy bigger than the first dress. Again, proper size may change that.
My honest opinion would be to stick with the first dress and bling it up. Add a gorgeous beaded/blingy belt, the cap sleeves you previously posted and simple drop earings. IMO, that is all that dress needs. You can also have the neck line slightly changed to sweetheart to soften it a bit.
You really do look beautiful in that dress! Ultimately, whatever you decide, you have to feel beautiful! Good luck!

  • I like this dress more than the prior dress you posted. This one is more unique looking and the v-neck is flattering. The other strapless one looked like so many other dresses.

I have an appt on 4/16 for my exchange. At that time, i will be trying more dresses. It will be (hopefully) a better appt since it's on a Tuesday and not a chaotic DB Saturday appt like I had the first time.

I have already made a list of all the dresses I am going ot try on and will bring this list with me. Whichever looks best is the one I will pick. None of the dresses I am going to try on are strapless. What makes me like the dress that I currently have is the lace. What makes me not like it is, that it seems so thin and that it's strapless. At the time I thought I would wear a bolero or something but I don't like anything paired with this dress at all. It's definitel ideal for a beach wedding. And when you look at the online reviews I want to say that more than half of them are brides that did a destination or beach wedding. If we were doing the same, I would keep this dress.

These are the dresses I have put on my favorites list that I will try on, on April 16

The last pic is the one I have on in the picture in my original post. I do not like the sash/bow thingy in the pic of model wearing it. It does not come with dress so I wouldn't have to worry about removing it. I am going to try it on in the appropriate size (bigger size) and hope it will have more boob coverage and with it being looser does not have that v shaped lace dent towards my hips.

Thank you for all of your feedback!

  • Good luck! Make sure you come back and AW your new dress!
