Wedding Dress Opinion

So - I love my dress (it is a little lose in this photo still) - I am getting married on a beach in aruba. I got the dress for $250 as a sample...although I love it, there are some of my family members saying it is too much for a beach wedding.

Thoughts? I still have 14 months to figure it out also.

I like it. But I'd say skip the veil and clip a flower (real or fake) in your hair instead!

    What an awesome deal, congrats!
  • I think its really beautiful. Is it heavy? That might be the only problem for an Aruba beach wedding--the heat might be compounded by the weight of the dress. That would be my only concern though.

  • It isn't very heavy - no - just the look of it is what they were saying and trying to convince me to get something more destination wedding like.

    This. Gorgeous dress!

  • It is a very full dress, which is not something you normally see at destination weddings, but you got an EXCELLENT deal and if you absolutely love it then it doesn't matter. You should wear what YOU love.

  • It's a beautiful dress. If you love it, go for it. One thing about Aruba though - it's incredibly windy all the time. While normally this isn't bad because it helps combat the heat, I wanted to warn you about wearing a veil. It will most likely blow all over the place, constantly. So just something to keep in mind.

  • I think it's fine. What a steal for such a pretty dress! It's flowy enough so go for it. But, yeah, I agree with no veil as it is really windy. Try a clip or a headband.
  • Thanks Everyone!! It is a Pronovias :) They made a mistake on the price online that they said they would honor.

The veil advice is perfect! I didn't even think about the wind on the island yet - that is great advice.
  • i think it works great for a beach!

I would keep the accessories simple though, the dress stands on its own and WOW what a deal, can't beat that price!
