Wedding Woes

audible

So I have a trial audible membership. What book should I buy? My tastes have broadened, and I'm now reading everything from sci-fi and fiction to historical fiction and romance. I've even read a few autobiographies.

So what book did you love?

Re: audible

  • for audio books, it really depends a lot on the reader.

i only buy david sedaris audio books.  his audio books are hilarious; i find his written books less so.

i would also recommend david rackoff.

both of these books fit a particular npr, east coast liberal aesthetic.  if you are not one of these or sympathetic to it, i would not recommend.

I was just about to suggest David Sedaris's new book.  I forget the title, but I believe it was just released today.

Is it Let's Explore Diabetes with Owls? I'm listening to a sample right now.
  • I have an audible account and have been going through The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon.  Each book is super long (more book for your credit) and the story is really good, historical fiction/romance type theme.
