Wedding Woes

Starting to freak out

I know this is probably fairly usual, but our wedding day is 109 days away, and according to the handy TK checklist, we still have 74 things to do. That's an average of 1.4 things per day, and at the rate I feel we're going, this won't happen! Granted some things are easy, like confirmations, which can all get done at the same time. My FH is a uni prof, and really busy, so he's left most of this up to me since January. It actually has been easier to do it all on my own, as he takes quite some time to decide on things, and I'm more of a fast decision maker. He thinks we have plenty of time for things, and has yet to get measured for his suit, nor has the groomsmen, both of which are from out of town, and 1 is from overseas. The 1 thing he's been put in charge of is narrowing his song list down for the songs he's including on our CD favours, and he hasn't done that either. I'm making ALL the cases for these things, they aren't printed, and they take a LONG time to make! I'm freaking out, and am hoping that this is normal, and that someone can talk some sense into me? :-S

  • It's an average of .68 things.

Get control of yourself.  Make your own list, prioritize and breathe.

    Praying for a miracle!
  • Awesome ladies, thank-you! Yes, 0.7 things per day. Math was never my strong subject (insert eye roll here)!

<div>Save the freaking out for two weeks before your wedding.  The tux/suit shop should have a deadline for ordering; let your FI and GMs know the deadline, then release that worry, as it's all on them.  </div><div>A lot of things on TK checklist didn't apply to me, or had multiple reminders for the same thing.  Read through the list and eliminate anything that doesn't apply to you.  Also some things can't really be done until closer to the wedding (mail invites, get your license) and some can only be done in the weeks or days leading up (pick up bouts from florist, finalize head count with caterer/reception hall, etc).  Mark off any important deadlines on your calendar/planner, and don't sweat the rest of it.  :)</div>
