SO, I haven't been on the advertising, but I am participating in the local Food Bloggers Bake Sale out here again this year. Totally looking forard to it and bee gearing up, etc.
A friend from back is a SAHM who runs a small baking business on Etsy, cookies and what not. I invited her to participate this year, as she has a blog and she bakes. She initally admitted being nervous to take part, but then jumped in. And went nuts from there.
Essentially, she went bonkers on Twitter and FB posting and tagging about the sale and how she thought things should be run. We have constraints at the site we sell from in terms of displays and space and she wasn't at all congnisent of those it seemed. turns out, she hadn't read a single word of any of the emails sent out by the organizer, she had no clue what was going on.
Ultimately, this came to a ahead when the organizer had a bad start to the week, her dog passed away and she was expressing frustration and grief online, as one would expect. Friend tweeted back to her some borderline cruel things like "Cheer up, it's earth day!" Not really appropriate. On top of her now backing out on half of her promised involvement.
I am slightly regretting pushing her to participate. Organizer and I can't decide if she just got super excited to jump in or is unsure of how to conduct herself online. Like reading emails from the person who handled this with skills for the last 3 years.
