Location Drama

I was born and raised and Minneapolis, my guy was born and raised in Colorado Springs. I have always been close to my family but it is my dream to get married in the mountains, in Colorado. My mom has told me that she will be extremely upset if we decide to get married in Colorado instead of Minnesota. She's even said they won't help pay for a single thing.
My family is here, and his is there, so family will have to travel no matter what.
Shouldn't I get married where I want? Or should I stay in Minnesota and get married just to make me parents happy?

Get married where you want!  If your mother is already trying to control your wedding now, she will try to change other things - just pay yourself and get the wedding you want, not the wedding she wants.  It just seems to work out that your FI is from there and it is your dream to get married there.  It was meant to be for you to get married in Colorado!  Hopefully your mother will come around  - she should love you more than she loves that idea of you getting married in Minnesota. 

Also, is the "bunny" in your name referring to the fact that you own bunnies?  If that is the case, very cool - I love my bunny!  If you just love bunnies, you're still pretty darn cool.

Oh, good point ZeroOrchestra!  I didn't even think to ask, since I assumed getting married closer to his family would be something her FI would like.  But I should know better to assume - got to stop doing that.
