S/O Aging Pop Culture References

The young woman who served as the president of my failed NOW chapter is going to be a famous artist one day.  I absolutely adore her and she's really amazing.

She posts weird, funny, artsy FB statuses all the time, of course.

The other day she posted randomly, "I have a crush on you".

I posted back, "You must've heard that from my best friend.  She's always talkin' when she should be listenin', couldn't keep a secret to save her life!"

Someone under me posted, "Be glad you didn't say, "I've got a crush on you." I would have turned this into a Mandy Moore singalong".

Mandy Moore?!   Someone else got my reference though.  That made me a little less horrified.  :)

    I thought of that as well.

    My sister had a moment at work the other day when she was working with a student. After giving him instructions on what he was supposed to do she told him if he had any issues or questions to "throw his hand in the air and wave like you don't care."

    The student didn't get it. Outkast is beyond these kids now?
