Wedding Woes

an Easter picture, aka, I can sew

So, I bought a remnanat of pre-smocked fabric and made Buffy's easter dress out of it.
She decided she did NOT want 2 shoulder straps, which is why I made it 'convertible' so I could tie it as 2 bows on the shoulder or as a halter top.

These are pictures after she's been running around all day, so she's disheveled (she didn't want me to re-do her pigtails so I gave up and left them half in.  Same w/ re-doing the bow on the dress), but I was pretty happy w/ it.  Not perfect but considering how much of a n00b I really am at sewing, even pre-smocked fabric is new to me.
Also, she likes bunny cake:

  • Cute! And for the record, there's nothing at all wrong with disheveled little girl coifs. Lets the world know they're having to much fun to sit and get their hair all doodled up forever :D

yeah, we battle the hair for no more than 15 min, 1x per day.  After that inital fight into ponytails, we just add more barettes to keep it out of her eyes (because she hates it in her eyes.  'd cut it off to keep it out, but I think it'd make it worse unless we cut it REALLY short).

She thought the eggs were fun to find...she didn't realize they were full of candy until she dropped one and it popped open and spilled malted milk eggs.  "Momma, this egg is full of eggs!"
  • Buffy is one cute kid.  Good job on the dress, too!
