Legal update

Case manager called this morning with a couple more questions, then said that after reviewing the info from my interview with the paralegal and the paperwork my former employer gave me, they think I have a case.  DH and I are going to discuss when he gets home tonight, but I am strongly inclined to pursue it.  Unless DH is suddenly hell bent against it, I think I'm going for it.

My non involved opinion is that you should pursue.

Agree with pursuing. If not only for you, for any future employees in a similar situation with a lot less cushion to rely on.

Did I mention that DD and I found two four leaf clovers in the backyard last weekend, and I found another one while walking to the other building just before my fateful meeting with HR?  I am expecting some good luck as a result.

Also, I have a FWP:  the maid was supposed to clean this a.m., so I made myself scarce all morning.  When I got home at noon, she hadn't come by yet.  I was going to nap before going to DD's field day, and now I'm not because Maid might show up at any time.  I left her a message and haven't heard back, so I have no idea if she's running late, canceling, etc.  I hope she's not canceling.

You probably should not have been fired, but aren't office politics a part of any job? Why would you be so stupid to associate your self with a person that was openly calling your boss names.

Oh, Flany:

1.  It was her boss, not my boss.

2.  I never witnessed the behavior they accused her of.

3.  I barely associated with her--we sat at the same lunch table in the employee cafeteria once or twice a week.

4.  After HR interviewed me, I never had lunch with her again--one day I ran errands, one day she wasn't there, and then she was gone.

5.  Everything was cool until I announced my maternity leave.  That />> "office politics."

heffalump, you are wrong. flany has been following this so closely that she probably knows more about it than you do. she keeps detailed notes in her dream journals about all the regulars here. you should ask her to show the notes to your lawyer in case they have questions.

Seriously though; go after them.  HARD.  You should be protected about 6 ways from Sunday and an additional 3 ways from Monday.  There was no justification for them letting you go.  None.
