Yes, OMG! I knew the history so I wasn't surprised but...damn.

Also, Gannicus made me so sad.

I didn't refresh my memory before the season (or during), but I knew that Caesar was bad juju for our boy Sparty.  Gannicus did make me sad.  I knew, but didn't know, that EVERYBODY was going to die.    The crucifixions were hard to watch.

I loved in the closing credits where they showed all the main players from the series and Andy Whitfield at the end.

Yeah, that was great.  The crucifixions were just awful.

I think my favorite episode of the entire series was the one right before the finale. I loved that they held their own Games. It was fantastic seeing them in their element again.

I hated Caesar in the finale. 

Also, Kore.  Crassus is a cold mofo.

Crassus had no love for anyone.  He was more upset that Tiberius was killed because of the effect on his legacy vs. his love for his son.

That's what made him a ridiculously bad ass warrior and politician.
