Wedding Woes

Morning

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

We had a busy day yesterday.  The kids were exhausted last night and I had to wake them up at 7 this morning, which hardly ever happens.

Re: Morning

  • It was a great weekend and great Easter.

  • For the most part, it was a lovely weekend.  However, this second tri can get here any day.  I'm over it.

  • It was a pretty good weekend. I got in my run, got time with H, time with family.  No fighting, lots of teh sechs.

H has his physical test today, so he's all cranked up about it.  I don't doubt him, but he never counts his eggs before they hatch.  Hopefully I'll know before 3pm today if he passed.

  • Weekend was good!

Saturday was our 5th(!) anniversary. I made H a box with his initials burned into the top, he got me a book of hiking trails in our area and told me to pick a bunch and he'll organize them (5 years is wood, traditionally). He spent the day at the new storage unit organizing it. Then all 3 of us went out to dinner.

Sunday was low-key and spent at home doing chores and errands.

busy and stressfull but all around good.

Since I had plans to do a 'me' day w/o the kid Thursday, which didn't work and FRIDAY which didn't work, The Mr. took Buffy to his parents on Saturday.  I went to the fabric store by myself to buy stuff, bought me sushi and drank wine.  not bad :)
  • It was a really good weekend actually.  Friday night hot yoga was an absolutely amazing way to end the week.  Went to our favorite local hangout for dinner and just had a great time.

Saturday missed the farmers market (DH's fault), went grocery shopping, then did game day.  I had a bit of a fit at the game day and refused to play with one of the new Magic players b/c he had to prove his alpha nerdiness.  I had tried to be nice and dropped "casual gamer" into the conversation twice, before bowing out on the 2nd turn (after he tried to make me take a point for asking that we get on with the turn rather than discuss the history of a card).  He then made a comment about antagonizing me to DH.  DH said, "That's my wife".  Alpha nerd backed down real quick.  After that, he was nice enough to the other new players there and I probably would've played a round, but we were into Settlers by then.  I did win my first game of Settlers with a pure extortion move, so that was fun.  Went to a costume party with the Mad Hatter that night and was kicked out at 3rd place.  Mainly b/c I flipped off the people who were booing everyone except their favorite.  WTF, rude.  I guess Saturday was the day for my inner b!tch monster to come out.

Sunday had lunch with my family, which was nice, I haven't seen my parents in awhile.
  • Weekend was insanely busy, but at least Easter Sunday consisted of a no big fuss dinner, easter egg hunt for DD and a most righteous nap for everyone.
