Tee ball is intense man

They have to have a bat and glove, pants and cleats are recommended.  There are uniforms, a snack list, team pictures day, and an "action" photo session (they are 4, I don't think I'll even need the motion setting on my camera).  They sent out info on concussions.  I don't think I'm prepared for this.

I don't know anything about sports.  I ran cross country.  Please may they turn into musicians instead.  I know how to do that.

Except I have zero hope of M2 not being into sports.  She's very athletic already.

  • I too am worried for this day. DS is constantly asking us to play baseball (all sports are baseball). I am horribly uncoordinated and DH is just not a sports guy. My friend's 4 yo just started tee ball and it was the same thing.

Buffy says she wants to play soccer.  (of all the sports, she wants me to be a soccer mom?)

Thankfully DH is a sports guy so I have help figuring stuff out.  I think this will be good, but man it's a lot to take in the first time around.  Seriously M2 is out of control.  She could jump early, climbs anything, kicks, throws, and catches.  Her only issue is she's a peanut.
  • My friend's 4 year old has to wear a cup for tee ball.  She couldn't believe they even made cups that small!

Neither of us has any athletic bones in our bodies, so we're hoping for a band geek.

  • I would love to be a hockey mom, but i doubt there are any teams down here - especially for girls.

we're thinking of signing wolverine up for tumbling - she's a little daredevil that likes to climb and jump, so i'm thinking she'd enjoy it.

    lol @ tiny little cups!

I'm kindof wishing we could do T-ball, but everything starts at age 4. The 4yo doesn't care. The 3yo would LOVE it. <sigh>  Thankfully, neither is behind in motor skills, so I don't have to worry too much about their not getting enough of that.

We are signed up for swimming lessons again, finally. And we became members of the Y in the process. It's not conveniently-located, which probably means we won't go too much. But the membership discount on swimming lessons means it almost pays for itself. We shall see.
