What does your furbaby do that is perfect?

Because I'm trying to distract myself from wedding nerves... what does your furbaby do that is perfect?

My furbaby is named Lady.  In the evenings I'll sit on the lazyboy, she'll lie on my chest and tuck her head under my chin.  Then she usually starts snoring.

Oh and photos are required:

Schatzi, when she's really really tired, will nudge up to FI's behind on the couch, turn over on her back, and sleep almost sitting up, snoring away, looking like a little baby. She is so cute.

As for Bobbie, he's my mama's boy, so everything he does is perfect. Hah!

  • My new kitty (see sig) is a cuddler. Right now she is curled up on my lap.  But she doesn't just sit on my lap, she literally decides to sprawl at a an angle across my entire lap and chest. She also gets crazy kitties at night and it is so adorable to see her start spazzing out and running around and and attacking anything with tassels.

Jackson gives really good puppy kisses. The problem is he INSISTS upon making out with anyone and everyone, and some people are not into puppy kisses.

He also does this really funny thing where he squeezes between me and FI on the couch, rolls around a little and when he finally gets into his perfect comfy spot (squished between us), he sighs. Like "oh thank god, finally this day is over". It's so funny.

ETA: He gets his feelings hurt when people won't let him kiss them. fMIL is not into puppy kisses, and he was so upset about it last night. He kept trying to lick her face and she kept pulling away. Finally he sat on the floor and whined at her.

He wasn't even five pounds when we got him:

Now he's 25 lbs of pure puppy love!

He also gives people the side-eye. Especially if you walk past his crate after he's fallen asleep. It's hilarious.

Paulo (the older, black and white spaniel mutt) is the most loving dog. He is always near me, and will let me hold him like a stuffed animal all night (unless he gets too hot). He also has this one toy that he will play with. It's a rubber bone that other dogs have eaten and when it squeaked, he would howl. He body slams it to squeak to make it howl. That one obviously won't squeak anymore, but I did have a backup one that we take out on special occassions and he goes nuts. He also loves to roll on dryer sheets.

He's very jealous of  Kahlua (the little cheweenie). I call her "pupcake" (who knows why) and she is really perfect at being a little sh@t. She enjoys barking, pestering Paulo, refusing to come in unless she gets a treat, barking some more, shredding tissues...putting anything she finds in her mouth... and being cute...she is cute...I'll give her that.

ETA: She also perfectly ruined this awesome white blanket I got for christmas by eating a pen on it and spilling the ink all over it.

  • Our furbaby is actually pretty terrible at being a cat, haha. She can't jump, she's afraid of heights, and she's clumsy. However, she's completely adorable and is our baby and we love her and spoil her completely. There are a few really cute things she does that I don't have pictures of, like standing on her hind legs to get treats and sleeping on our laps with her arms wrapped around one of our thighs. Two I do have pictures of though. She likes to sleep on her back like she's dead:

A lot of times she has her mouth open when she does that too, which really makes her look dead. She also likes to cuddle with our stuffed animals:

  • does anyones cats put their paws under the door when you're in the bathroom?

My friend's cat does it. It freaked me out the first time because I didn't have my glasses on in the early morning and I'm totally blind without them and I thought someone was trying to get in.

<div>Lady waits outside any door I'm behind.  She greets me every time I come home, she waits outside the bathroom when I'm showering, and I can count on 1 hand the number of times in the last year I've opened the bedroom door in the morning and she hasn't been there waiting to jump in.</div>

<div>I don't know if new kitty does this, but my old kitty did.  She would open doors that way (not just the bathroom). She loved it. But both of them loved to come into the bathroom with me. At least with new kitty, I'm pretty sure it is because she thinks the toilet is fascinating.  I can see her learning to flush the toilet just to watch it spin away. </div>

<div>Jackson used to be our "potty partner" because he'd never let us pee alone. He's gotten over that (somewhat) but he recognizes that the flushing sound means I'm about to come out of the bathroom, so he waits impatiently at the door. I had to put a baby gate up to keep him from immediately jumping on me. He also knows that when the shower turns off, I'm coming out with lotion all over my legs, which he apparently finds delicious - he tries to lick it all off immediately. The funny thing is, I once switched lotions and he gave it one lick, made a face, then trotted away. Apparently he didn't like that flavor...</div>

  • Oh and I failed to mention - when Lady wants a head rub she jumps in my lap and very gently touches my nose with her paw.  We call it her "pet me button"

Yes, I am AWing my cat - but she is completely perfect (except for when she's bad).

Oh my Mo does that constantly. I actually always leave the door open if FI isn't around otherwise I'll get yelled at through the door by the cat!

  • Chef D LOVES my husband.  He somehow knows DH's ringtone.  If the call comes after 5pm he knows daddy is either coming home or we are getting him.  All I have to say is "daddy is in the elevator"  and he will run to the elevator to met him.  He even knows the elevator floor tones.  Or I can say "we have to go get daddy" and he runs to the garage door to go to the car.  He gets really excited that daddy is coming home.

Yet, even though he LOVES daddy,  when it's time to cuddle he always comes to me. Always.  Never with DH.  It makes me DH sad, but it secretly makes me smile.

  • Tarra - I hope you don't forget to tip! Courtania - your pups curled up in the bean bag is todiefor precious. Our puppy, Margot, loves being rolled up burrito-style in a blanket. She falls asleep within a minute and snores.
  • My BF's cats are bathroom sharers. Their litter box is in her bathroom, so they always run in there when some goes in there. I have a betta fish, Burple, who plays dead all the time. He has such a personality that I am always laughing at him. We have pleco, Bruce, who seemed very subdue when we got from my friend, but he is very personable too. He will swim up to the side of the tank your standing by and do twists and dips.

My cat does this as well. If you"re sleeping he will touch your eyes. It makes me laugh every time. (and i'm a person who hates to be woken up)

<div>Yep. My cats either push their way into the bathroom to supervise... meaning they rub against my legs and sprawl out on the bath mats, or claw them. </div><div>
</div><div>If I ever try to close the door on my cats, one of them (Ollie, the older of the two) will literally jump up and fling his body against the door in protest... he hates closed doors.</div><div>
</div><div>But really, the cutest things my boys do are (and I wish I had pictures!)</div><div>1) Ollie's favorite game is to jump under the covers while I'm making the bed. He loves it.</div><div>2) Clyde's favorite positions to relax always feature his front legs and paws stretched completely out in front of him, like Frankenstien. Its adorable.</div>

  • My one rabbit  (now deceased, but lived to a very ripe age of 14) used to jump over my legs when I was sitting on the floor, and then he would put his front legs on me when he got tired so I would pet him.  And sometimes I would play piano for him, and he would come right up to the piano bench with his ears perked and stay perfectly still until I stopped - it was so adorable!!
My current rabbit is a sweetie as well, but he is living with my parents while I am overseas, and he is driving my mother nuts because he doesn't listen to her (apparently he only listens to me).  I think that is adorable myself, but my mom doesn't!

  • We currently have two lovely cats (in my sig).

Jazz, the darker one on the right, is what we call a "flopcat". You walk up to him and he just flops over on his back for you to pet his tummy. When he was a kitten, he would curl up right under my chin, but he's... uhhh... way too big for that know, even though he still sometimes tries. He's also daddy's boy and they both chill out on the couch watching TV. In exactly the same position...

Kali, the beautiful girl on the left, is a bit more of a trouble maker. She knows how to push H's buttons by doing "off-limits" things like jumping on the TV stand when he's in the room. But only when he's in here or nearby so he has to get up and shoo her off. She's also the one who opens doors and sticks her hand under my bathroom door. She has a "boyfriend", too - a neighborhood outside cat hangs out by our front window and brings her dead animal presents. It's awesome.

We're also getting a PUPPY in a few weeks!! I cannot even describe how excited I am. There shall be many pictures when we finally get her :)

  • My cat is perfect at being mean. I adopted him from some college students who played rough with his as a kitten so he likes to bite and scratch. I have been trying to train him and he has gotten better about it (when I first got him, he use to scratch me so much that everyone thought I was a cutter). He is pretty cute and follows me around my apartment now.

The kitten (she's 2 but I still call her the kitten/baby) likes to sleep on top of Kitty. It doesn't matter that there is a full house of other excellent sleeping spots she still wants to sleep right on top of poor Kitty.

I love this post! Normally I just lurk on this board but I could not resist sharing a photo of my "baby"!
Sophie is perfect at being cute! She is very sweet and everyone who meets her just loves her! She is very affectionate and loves being the center of attention. She loves climbing into my lap while I'm on the couch and "making" me cradle her like a baby. It is the cutest!
  • My puppy Gia sleeps in bed with me and whenever I try to get up in the morning she jumps on me and lays across my legs so I won't get up because she's lazy and doesn't want to get out of bed.
