The weekend!!

So  it's ALMOST Friday. But FFF takes the cake and I know this week will be a glorious one. 

What all are you doing this weekend?

BF and I are helping a friend move (her husband left her, he's a major at the prison here and has warrants out. So she's serving him AT WORK in front of the wardenand then he's getting arrested for warrants. Sweet, sweet justice.), and then my little brother is coming into town! He's my favorite person in the whole world, so we'll be hanging out and playing Halo all weekend.

Then Saturday is my day-drinking day, and Sunday is filled with food, GoT, Walking Dead, and IT'S OPENING DAY FOR THE TEXAS RANGERS!! (Big baseball fan.)

So what are ya'll doing? 

ETA: Today is also my furbaby's birthday! My black lab is 4 years old. Puppy birthdays (and birthdays in general) are a big deal to me! So happy birthday, Jack!!

I work at a grocery store on Saturdays and it's a black-out day for the day off, so I'm doing 8-4 there, and I'm debating on whether or not to try and make some baklava for Easter. I'm taking a Mediterranean cooking class with my brother and we made some on Monday night, but BF's family is Greek, so they'll know if it sucks...

IDK if it will be a "You're trying to be Greek and you're not and it's not working out and I'm offended by you trying to make Greek food"
or it will be a "Aww! You tried to make Greek food! That's so sweet!"

Decisions decisions!

ETA: BF's Nana is VERY judgemental and harsh, but seems to like me. Should I try to go for it?

syd - I think it will be the latter. Baklava isn't that hard to make, I have faith in you!

Court - The Governor, for sure. I cannot wait! My predictions for WHO will kill him have changed all season, but I know it's coming and I can't wait. I originally thought it would be Rick, then changed to Mishonne, now I'm thinking Daryl will be the one to end him. I also kind of hope Andrea dies because I hate her. I'm afraid, however, that it will be like.. Maggie or someone. ;-; That would break my heart.

My weekend starts tonight, even though I work tomorrow. We're going to a foodie event here in St. Louis called the Iron Fork which will be tons o' fun, then this weekend, FI's sister is coming to visit with her boyfriend (who's practically her husband) and we're going to have Easter brunch on Sunday. Speaking of, I need to run to Walgreens to pick up some Easter baskets...

Yay Walking Dead! I'm working Saturday in the morning while FI golfs. We're having Easter lunch/my dad's birthday lunch Sunday. I'm not doing much of anything this weekend. Hopefully visiting some vineyards Saturday afternoon!

I have off tomorrow yay.  Nothing exciting is really going on for us the rest of the weekend.  I don't know if we'll make it home in time from all of the Easter festivities to catch The Walking Dead, we'll see.  FI & I were talking last night and trying to make predictions as to who would die on the finale.

I'm singing in our church choir for Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Vigil, and Easter morning!  And then lots of Easter yummies with family! 

And of course if they don't skip a week, I will DEFINITELY be watching the newest episode of Army Wives.  Even though they just killed off one of the biggest characters, I can't get enough of it...

I really desperately need to do taxes friday. Then, as our wedding is 10 days away, I'll be running around like a headless chicken trying to get all the little last minute things (wrapping gifts, making escort cards, final dance lessons, cleaning the apartment, etc) done. We have friends staying with us Tuesday night on so I'm pretty much down to 5 days of actual usable time. I'm really hoping I can fit in a massage on Sunday evening. The plan at the moment is to start a slow cooker meal in the morning so I can book like a 5pm massage and just melt into relaxation for the rest of the evening, with a warm homecooked meal waiting for me when I return.

@KM - thanks for the shared excitement! It's getting so real it's crazy!! Also thanks for saying the massage is a priority - my mom was trying to convince me it wasn't, but I hold all my tension in my shoulders and they are KILLING me. I have a meeting at 10, and the massage place opens at 10:30 - I think I'll plan on making a call immediately after the meeting.

I have the day off tomorrow to hang out with DS and FI (and take DS for a dr. apt.), so that's awesome.  Then Saturday I'm getting hair done and maybe a mani/pedi, too.  Sunday we do easter brunch with my folks and then we are adopting a kitty cat!

I'm taking Fruit Loop to WI.  By myself.  We leave tonight.  I'm a little excited, and a little scared that he'll be a terror the whole flight.  

I did a mini spa day the day before my wedding.  I got a massage and a pedicure and my make up done for the RD and it was awesome.  The spa I chose had some group specials and I asked some of my girlfriends and my mom and MIL if they were interested in joining me, so we had a small group there and brought in snacks and stuff for us to nibble on while people were waiting for treatments and stuff.  It was a nice relaxing thing to do.

yay weekend!  I will actually be missing FFF tomorrow, but I can't complain because I'll be in VEGAS (w00t).  I've got a bachelorette in Vegas this weekend with 10 college friends, many of whom I haven't seen since our wedding so I'm super excited :-)  I leave ridiculously early tomorrow morning and then leave Vegas ridiculously early Sunday morning b/c I still have to go to Easter at MILs and my moms

Due to the Sweet 16 being in town and Easter I'm a chef widow this weekend.

Dad comes home from China tomorrow.  Apparently he bought me some purses, so I'm having lunch with my parents on Saturday.  On Sunday my parents and I will go to DH's for Easter Brunch.    

I might try and get tickets to the regional game, but I think DH might be too tired to attend.  So Im not sure yet about that.

Going to see a play tonight and out to dinner first - which is nice because we've really cut back on going out since planning for the wedding!

Saturday going to FSIL's house for dinner which will  be .. interesting... FMIL and her husband will also be there.  FSIL was the ONLY person who has said anything negative about our engagement ... and believe me she had PLENTY to say.  I hope she's learned to either keep it to herself or change her attitude or it couldbe a rought night. 

Sunday dinner at my parents for Easter and Monday just relaxing after a busy weekend!
DEF excited for GoT, and Walking Dead .. Sunday but will probably have to PVR them and watch Monday.

FI thought Beth was going die in this episode, he also thought Milton and may be Herschel too.  I would love to see anyone kill the Govenor at this point.  I do hope it's Maggie though.

Do Americans not get Good Friday off? If you're a Christian, they have to give it to you, right? H, my brother, and I are heading down to H's parents place on Friday. I'd like to come home on Sunday, but H is pushing for Monday, since his work schedule somehow gives him Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday AND TUESDAY, off! My brother and I have got lots of studying to do and I have to work again on Tuesday.

I was done with my taxes by the end of January. It was glorious and I felt like such a responsible adult.

Then I forgot to mail them until three weeks ago. ;-;
