Thank Yous

We're 10 days out from the wedding (eep) and we're doing our best to get Thank Yous out within a couple days of presents coming in so we aren't slammed when we get back from our honeymoon.

I'm happy to say right now we have thank yous for every gift we've received sans one. One of FI's good friends, rather than shopping off our registry, chose to make a donation to an organization he knows FI is very involved in. It was a lovely gesture, but I'm not sure how to word the thank you. For items off the registry, we say how much we're looking forward to using them, for checks we are writing what we're saving up for, for a donation...I assume we say how thoughtful it was? But it feels really weird saying "thank you for your donation" since we aren't actually the organization.

Help?

Re: Thank Yous

  • Thanks TXKristan. I definitely have a list going. About four gifts came in over last weekend and I realized there was no way I would keep people straight with so many coming so quickly!

And good for you too, hoffse. April 6th just has magical properties :D
