A FB friend posted an animation of giraffes diving.

Which meant I had to google, Can giraffes swim?

On google, the 2nd most common question starting the same was, Can giraffes vomit?

So I had to look at that too..

Yes and ew.

I googled it.  Dh had sent me that stuff before, I just never realized it was a "drop bear".  I just thought they were killer koalas.

The answer is yes and it was discovered by scientists using computer models.  They said they could swim, but it would be difficult b/c they have so much more weight that their front end would pitch forward and make it hard to keep their head above water.

Which made me laugh.

It would also take 9+ feet of water for them to become bouyant.

The Mr's relatives try to convince all the noobs to the family about the drop bears.

I was googling about giraffes swimming because of this.  And I want to see video of it IRL.

I actually already knew about throwing up.

although, did you see what the throats of sea-turtles are like, to allow them to throw-up salwtater and keep the jellyfish they eat in?
