Wedding Woes

TGIF

What's up for the weekend?

Today is DH's bday. 6let wanted to make cupcakes and cards and DH wants Donato's for dinner.  Easy enough. Tomorrow we have tee ball practice #2 and MIL and sFIL are coming over.  Sunday a little grocery shopping.  It's all very exciting.

Also, M2 was really rough Monday morning.  She slept most of Tuesday.  I was prepared to see the doc Wed, but she bounced right back and was herself.  Yesterday she was back to being punky.  When she basically refused anything to drink and some of her favorite foods I made a doc appt.

Poor kid has a double ear infection.  It must be pretty bad too.  The doctor's face was amazed and she commented how bad they were.  She warned me M2 could have another really bad night and to give her drugs right before bed.  She even commented that it could be bad enough to call in the middle of the night.  The pharmacist came to the window and made sure I had specific instructions on the meds too.  Usually antibiotics are free, but this was $8.  I've never seen the pharmacist so serious.

I feel bad, but shoot the kid was riding her scooter and pedaling a trike when we got home.  If it wasn't for the 4.5 hr nap I never would have taken her in.

  • I still have this fracking cold.  I'm so miserable.  I have to work tomorrow...Suck.  IL's want to keep the kids overnight tomorrow.  We may go to a movie.  But I may just want to sleep without interruption of someone wanting a snack, juice, or to go outside.

Sunday, my IL's are supposed to bring the kids back and stay for dinner.  I think we're going to brew another beer.  Not sure what kind yet.

My goal this weekend is to feel better.  That's all I want.  The rest will just be gravy.  Besides working.  That will suck healthy or sick.
  • Poor M2.

Conn - hopefully you can get some rest with the boys gone.

We don't have too much planned for this weekend.  Today is DH's last day of vacation and it's been really nice.  We've done a lot this week.

We have a few small projects to finish, but they're nothing big.  The weather is supposed to be crappy and rainy for a c0ouple days, so we didn't really plan anything.
  • Poor M2!  :(  Ear infections are the worst.

I'm thinking it's time to start yoga again. I've missed it, and working with Coirker makes me want to punch people in the face. A combination of regular cardio and yoga seem to keep me from attacking him like I've been doing bath salts.
  • Weather's supposed to be bad all weekend, so it'll be indoors for the most part.

Aside from running errands and cleaning/laundry, FI and I need to sit down and discuss/finalize guest list, hotel blocking, invites, and put together the website.

Hopefully we'll make some time to see Oblivion or Iron Man 3.

I m baking for the Food Bloggers Bake Sale, just finishing up brownies and trying to do it before we hit the predicted 90's today.

Tomorrow is the sale, then hanging out at home. Some family is in town right now. Sunday night I am going to work to take bereavement later in the week. Looking like we will have a memorial service on Friday, we won't be able to have grave side services for 4-6 weeks. Grandma is joining Grandpa at the national cemetary here and that's the window right now, we think likely due to sequester.

ANd thank you all so, so much for the vibes yesterday. Mom and I knew the outcome when we gave the okay to try and see the bleeding could be stopped and repaired, but good thoughts never hurt.
  • *runs around* H comes home, H comes home.  But I'm sure he'll be wiped and I'll be all "hey hey hey HEY!" and annoy him.

H wants to have a movie date, so we'll do that I'm sure.  I need to block out a few hours for running too.  This week has been way "miss" with the exercising.  Meh.  It happens.

  • Tonight - cleaning the apartment

tomorrow - traipsing about town with H and some of his friends from the jewelry studio.

Sunday - someone from the new synagogue is coming over with a "welcome" bag. She has SN twins and a "normal" 2 yr old. She's bringing the 2 year old and I'm not sure how i feel about that.
  • Tonight we're having dinner with friends.  They're making us steak, noms.  They asked us to bring a Portillo's chopped salad- easy enough.

Tomorrow is the bachelor/bachelorette parties.  The ladies are starting out with apps, wine, and penis games, then going to the hibachi place, the comedy club for the "dirty" who's line show, and then bars.  I have no idea how I'm going to stay up that late- a nap is in order for Saturday afternoon.  The guys are golfing (DH is skipping that), ooggling the 18 year old ladies at Tilted Kilt (I will die laughing if DH has a student working there), and then bars so we might run into them.

  • Jojo, I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother.

Poor M2.  Time for hot chocolate and snuggles.  She's a trooper though.  Stupid ears, I want to play!

It's freaking sleeting here.  Nice little small pellets of ice coming down fast and hard.  They sting when they hit your skin.   I hope it stops.

Tonight should be hot yoga.  Tomorrow is supposed to be the city's huge art festival (usually around 300 vendors, entertainment all day, food, everything) and IDK what the game plan is.  I"m supposed to be taking pictures of our men's chorus.  Sunday is another bike ride.  We really want to go to the heirloom farm's planting festival, but I don't think that's in the cards.  We keep doing too much over the weekend lately, it's really screwing up my week. :)

We're participating in our community garage sale tomorrow, so I took a vacation day to prepare for it.  We're selling all our baby stuff - lots of big items like high chair, pack'n'play, strollers, tricycle.  And whatever else I can come up with in the garage.  And I have to figure out how to price things.
Sunday I think we're going to send DD off to church with grandma so we can go see Iron Man 3.  That's what church is for, right? ;)

Thank you V. I always forget you aren't on the FB group. It was unexpected and sudden, but she didn't suffer. She had some pain, went to the ER, they found an aortic anuerysm, and before anything could be discussed, it started leaking. In the OR they stopped the bleeding, but her heart couldn't handle the shock of the massive blood loss. But her last meal included a doughnut, which made us happy. She was diabetic and had a huge sweet tooth, so worst diabectic ever. But happy.

Man, too bad I'm too far from you and the cost of gas would eat up any savings on baby crap :)

    I'm sorry jojo.

O-Face: I'm picturing you like a little puppy all up in the husband's face trying to get attention.

AF- In parallel life news, someone in 6let's class lives out your way.  I assume she just moved out there.  I can think of no other reason to drive so far.

I know!  It's not like it's some crazy good school or anything.  I mean he's learning and all, but there's nothing special about it.
