Wedding Woes

First World Problem.

My cousin asked me if it was ok if she invited my aunt to come on our trip. I never thought to invite my Mom. Why would I want to invite her to my 40th Birthday Blow Out Trip? So, I said, "Girl, no Mamas allowed", and that was that.

Why did I get a text yesterday saying that her Mom REALLY wants to come with her other aunt and they are looking for flights. REALLY? So, I'm like whatever. They can do them and I'm going to do me. Whatever.

Sometimes a night out with my mom is a fun night out . . . but usually that involves a theatrical performance and parent-friendly activities.

If these aunts really want to do a trip, they should do a sister trip.  Why are they insisting on crashing your party?

  • If mom REALLY wants to go, mom should plan her own trip.

Is your mom going to get offended if she finds out cousin's mom is going (is this her sister?)?

My mom just took a girls trip so she isn't mad. (She also doesn't understand why they want to come.)

It's not that I'm thinking it's going to be a How Stella Got Her Groove Back trip. I just don't care to go with the 65+ crowd. I like my aunt, but just not for this trip, you know.
