I'm attempting crafty today

I saw a stupid birdfeed craft that seems super easy- cut a piece of bread, smear with egg whites, smoosh in birdfeed, add string.  This will probably be a huge failure, but it seems like a good Mother's Day gift to go with gift cards.  If it's horrible they don't really have to keep it and I'm only out a couple of bucks.

Speaking of MD, 6let keeps telling me he made something at preschool, but he's not going to tell me about it.  Then he laughs.

I haven't gotten any MD gifts for my mom or MIL and I only have 3 days left to shop.  Eek.

We bought a tile at the artsfest for my mother to go with her water feature outside.  She'll like it.

I mentioned to DH that he needed to get his mother a card.  He still hasn't done it.  Oh well.  I can't keep track of everything for the man.  He's the one home during the day, he can damn well go to someplace to get his mother a card.

That sounds more bitter than I think I feel.  I'm still kinda sleepy I think.

DH is solely in charge of his family.  I can never do right by his mom so I give up trying. 

6let is killing me right now.  I used the word observation the other day and he asked what it meant so we talked and now all he wants to do is make observations.  He even keeps a running total of how many he's made daily and weekly.   

He's all about trying to read too.  He's in LOVE with the exclamation point and I've had a hard time explaining it.  I just said it means loud.

My sister to the rescue.  She's going to pick up a GC for a pedicure for me.  My mom is going to FL next week for a DW, so I'm also going to find her some things for the trip - sunglasses, a beach bag, etc.

DH will have no ideas for his mom, so we'll probably end up getting her a GC or something.

I made (woodburned) picture frames for my mom, MIL, my gram and SIL. I included SIL because it's her first MD.

My jerk extended family decided that it didn't matter if anyone had MD plans and changed the date of my gram's 89th birthday party to MD rather than a week later.  We'll be there. Not a bad thing to be with my gram but I'm upset because they didn't ask anyone if the change would work.

Hee @ 6let.  He's awesome.

I have no idea what we're doing for MIL for MD.  That is DH's problem.  I have cards for my mom from me and the kids and a card for MIL from the kids.  DH is on his own for a card for his mom. 

I just found out I likely have to work overnight on Sunday, so I hope our plans are mid-early afternoon.
