looking for a caterer for a Cocktail party

My BFF is having her wedding in Oct of this year and we are in search of a caterer who can do a cocktail reception. Her venue is more laid back, think a club lounge VIP, so a sit down dinner or buffet just isn't goingto cut it. Considering that it more of a party atmosphere we need heavier cocktail style foods and are also looking into mini stations(pasta bar, loaded mash potato bar, carving station). haven't found anyone that the sample offings have WOW factor. Everyone knows that food is pretty much the most important especially since we will be dancing, drinking and eating all night! just looking for suggetions and rave reviews!

Thanks!Wink

Who have you tried already and ruled out?

Some of the best I can think of (all pretty pricey) would be Rania's, Common Plea, big Burrito, Fluted Mushroom.

My reception was catered by Aramark and I had stations. Don't know if they do outside catering, though.

    HTH!

Jaden's is awesome. They catered a rehearsal dinner I went to. Bart's catering is really good too. There are a ton of menu choices. http://www.bartscatering.com/index.html

We are having a cocktail reception.  I saw Barts Catering web site the presentations look beautiful.  My fiancee is a chef instrtuctor at the culinary school.  The food has to be just perfect.  We have been in touch with Bart.  He wants to set up a tasting with us.
