We had planned a great wedding at the end of August and my mom just told me she cannot contribute at all. 60% of our budget is gone... we are thinking of moving it to a backyard wedding and trying to price things out for the same date... but I KNOW that people will ask why the change (into a different STATE).. without saying too much and throwing my mom under the bus- what are things that we can tell people?
I've been saying "venue issues" and then not getting into details just saying "its a long story"... but I need something better than that... I don't really want to tell people that it's none of their business, so i'm trying to come up wiht another idea... thoughts?
