I need help with the ribbon on my dress

I bought a dress online based on the picture that was provided on the website. In the picture the back tied up but there was no bow/strings hanging down (one of the reasons I picked it). The dress is gorgeous but the ribbon bow is just big and tacky.  Does anyone know how to lace up the back of a dress with a hide away bow?

Are you talking about a corset back that laces?  I helped a friend lace her corset back for her wedding and if I remember correctly, the ends of the ribbon tucked down into the dress - the lacing started at the top of the back of the dress and went down towards her waist.

Yes the corset back.  Do I have to pin them?  How does your dress not come undone?

I had a corset back on my dress. When you lace it up, top to bottom, you tie a knot or bow when you get to the bottom to keep the laces from slipping, then tuck the knot and the ends and/or loops into the little space at the very bottom of the corset opening. Someone will likely need to reach up under the back of your dress to smooth out the tails you tucked in so they won't make a bump under the back of your dress. Does that help?
