I've never been as into Star Trek (or well, anything. I think things are nifty, he truly counts as a fan in my mind) as H, but I like it well enough.

So we're leaving the theater and I say to him: "Were people supposed to be surprised he was Khan, or did everyone know going in? *slight chuckle from H* Was he Talia al Ghul wasn't he?"

H: "I'm just happy you can ask that question that way. Yes, yes he was Talia."

    According to FI, the movie makers said that Khan wasn't going to be in the new movie, so we were confused.  But then again, Leonard Nimoy said he wasn't going to be a part of it either.  I guess he fooled us!

    The little girl getting healed in the trailer was the spoiler for fans. In the Federation genetic therapy and modification is forbidden BECAUSE of Khan. The method tends to mess with the human brain and cause homicidal supervillain stuff.

    So yeah, we alll knew going in that they were lying through their teeth about it.
