Dyeables Shoes

Hello Ladies!

I bought soem dyable shoes for my June 21st wedding on cape cod. i had them dyed navy blue to match the bridesmaid dresses. I've worn them around my house to break them in before the big day, and i noticed that the dye is coming off on my feet! I've tried to wipe them down with a cloth to get the exra dye off that might be hiding in the material, but it just keeps coming. Has anyone else had this issue? Someone suggested i spray them with hairpray, but i am so afraid they will run or get ruined.

 

Any ideas?

Where did you have them dyed? Some places have a sealant that they can spray on them for a little extra.

Ditto bunni, but also, just keep wearing them. It will stop eventually. Mine did, and only left a teeny bit of dye on my feet after the wedding because I had worn them around the house so many times.

I had mine sprayed with sealant and they didn't bleed at all.  Talk to whoever dyed them for you, or you can go to any cobbler and have them seal them for you.

LDUBASIK

just spray them with a scotch guard! it works and won't hurt the color let dry 24 hours before wearing them. they will look like the color is getting darker as you spray them but they will turn back to the original shade when they are dry
