Introduction!

Hi everyone!

My name is Joelle and my fiance Jamie and I have been engaged for a little over three months now!  Lately, we have begun to really start on the wedding planning and now everything is becoming real!  We set our date for the 25th of May 2013 (which seems a long ways away) as I will be finishing up grad school next April.  We decided on waiting until after graduation to start the heavy-duty planning.  We have picked out a ceremony site and reception site and are basically waiting until April to start focusing on other details.  We are SO excited to be getting married and I look forward to getting to know this Knot community :-)

Welcome! as someone whose 22 month engagement suddenly became 5 months, I can tell you time will fly!  come back and post often, and people here are  happy to help!

Yayy!!  Welcome and congrats!  mdphd and I both have had pretty long engagements (mine is about 18 months) and I think we both can agree that it's nice having so much time to plan!!

I'm with you on the long engagement front.  I've been engaged 18 months and have another 18 to go (June 22, 2013).  Don't stress and ask a ton of questions-the ladies of this board are extremely helpful. On the bright side, having a long time makes it easier to spread out payments.
