what in the fresh hell are these 'hi-lo-hem tank tops'

I mean, I've seen the varying length hem, and I'm 'meh' about it, but these w/ the 'cape' in the back--am I missing something?

EW. Mullet clothes need to stop.

Some of the summer dresses I kind of like and I get the appeal, but I don't get the appeal of the tank.

Stephanie Seymour in November Rain is an exception. That dress was gorgeous and I wanted one so bad.

I have one of the dresses with the longer back (what are those called?), they just popped up EVERYWHERE all of a sudden and I'm a conformist.
I'm not sure about that "cape" though. My dress's hem is only maybe six inches longer in the back than front, it's not super dramatic like that.

My senior prom dress was a hi-lo hem.  Proof that the 90s have come back (and I'm old).

Ahhhh, senior prom.  I had no date and the chicken pox and STILL had a blast.

I was obsessed with November Rain and that wedding dress back in the day.

The hi-lo hem is back in a big way.  There's a lot of skirts and dresses that have that hemline.  I think it depends on how it's done, because it can end up looking like a tail.

I'm not sure if I hate it more or less than peplum.
