Bride in Northern Virginia needs Pittsburgh Church Ceremony!

HELP! I live in northern virginia by DC and i'm getting married in Pittsburgh, PA. The venue we found doesn't have an area to have a ceremony. I am curious to find out what other brides did when they lived out of town or far away from home and wanted to have a church ceremony. I'm catholic. I'm no longer a part of the church i went to as a kid. I need help finding a ceremony site close to Creighton, PA that will allow us to get married without being members of the parish.
Thank you for your help guys :)

  • I have no idea on a church for you just wanted to say "hi" as I am also a Northern Virginia bride planning a Pittsburgh wedding!  I lived in Pittsburgh for 4 years and left 2 years ago to move to the DC area, but it was always my dream to get married in Pittsburgh.  Now I'm getting married this summer at the New Hazlett Theater on the Northside.
Good luck with your wedding plans!

  • I am also a Northern VA bride who is getting married in Pittsburgh!!  We are getting married in the church that he went to for most of his life as he grew up.  I think that some churches will let you get married there if you are not a parishoner, but they request that your "donation" be more than if you were a current parishoner.  I hope that you find a place!!

  • I have no idea where Creighton is, but Heinz Chapel on Pitt's campus in Pittsburgh is stunning, and they specialize in weddings.
What a beautiful mess this is...
