Wedding Dress Color Match

Hi Everyone,
I am writing because I had my colors already picked out for my wedding and what color my bridesmaids would wear. However this weekend I found my dream wedding dress and I can no longer use the original colors because my dress has a light gold under white lace. It looks more like a cream color though. So my question is what colors would match that dress for the bridesmaids to wear. I would like to keep bright colors because it is a summer wedding. I want to try to stay away from the dark browns and all. Thank you

    What were your colors previously?
  • It's still neutral, so any color is going to "match" it.

What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

I'm assuming your wedding is next summer if you're still working on finding your perfect wedding dress. So if that's the case, don't worry about bridesmaids dresses until 8 months out. Pick a color that is flattering to your bridesmaids, not necessarily because you feel it "matches" your dress. The bridesmaids also do not have to wear dresses in your "wedding colors". They can wear a neutral like grey or navy.

My original colors were yellow and orange.

I didn't want the colors to clash with my dress. It doesn't necessarily have to match it. I do not want them in the same gold color either.  Thank you ladies for your responses.

Gold, yellow and orange don't sound like the best combo in the world....  Then again, yellow and orange don't even sound appealing together.

Yea so I wasn't going to use the yellow and orange anymore because it didn't look right with the gold. I saw photos of yellow and orange and thought it looked well together, but I wont be using that. After looking around on google, I think I am now going to go with coral. I am not going to use the gold everywhere just in my dress and maybe some splashes of it throughout.

Orange and yellow will not work with gold. Go with pink/coral heus, they are in the same color family as yellow and orange but look way better with gold.

Thank you SBmini. I am definitely going with that color family now. Yea once I found my dress I knew the yellow and orange was out. I couldn't find any color at the time I thought would match and then finally I saw a picture of peach and gold and coral and gold. Thought they both looked great. Thanks for everyone's input! Greatly appreciated.
