How to Thank Guests for Coming

We're doing a strolling dinner style reception. I'm worried we will miss people when we try to get around and socialize. We're going to try to offset this by doing a receiving line after the ceremony. Is this enough? We're going to try our best to talk to everyone, but will people think we're rude if we miss them?

  • I think that's definitely enough. Typically people only do one or the other, so by doing both, you're sure to talk to everyone.

  • A receiving line post ceremony should work just fine, as long as everyone is invited to the ceremony. If you know for sure there are people you missed, def keep an eye out for them, but most people will just walk through the receiving line.

Yes - everyone is invited to the ceremony.

Thanks for responding with good news star and summerbride - I was pretty nervous about this one.. :)

  • We did table visits, and anybody who was leaving before we got to them just came up to us instead.

What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • Please forgive my ignorance.

    What's a "strolling dinner" reception?

is this going to become the new dead shower horse?
  • We are doing a receiving line too. I want to be able to enjoy our reception! With 200 guests talking table to table would eat up the whole night.
