Books about Etiquette

Hello Everyone,
After apparently offending a few people on these forums I realized I am way out of my league regarding this whole etiquette thing. Are there books that have a break down of traditional etiquette roles for families? I have a planning book and there are a few suggestions regarding etiquette, but I would really like to me more aware of the whole thing. We have been engaged for six months and really have no idea how to do this whole thing. We have a wedding planner but I would rather not bother her for things like this.
Any helpful suggestions are most welcome.
Thanks!

  • Ditto what PPs said regarding Miss Manners and Emily Post. Also, most of the wedding-related etiquette I know I learned here. The Knot forums are fantastic, although we will give you blunt advice. In the end, we all really love weddings, and we want everyone to have a fantastic wedding experience!

  • I love that you want to educate yourself on this stuff! And of course everyone here is happy to help as well. The important thing to remember when posting here is that even if people respond with "Holy hell, that is so rude! You've got to be kidding me!" as long as you want to make it right and don't keep trying to defend a bad, rude, or inconsiderate idea, nobody will hold it against you in the future. We really are here to help each other.

What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14
