Me and my fiancee just learned our friend cannot marry us because of PA law. We were tools we can marry our selves in a self unity ceremony. Just wondering what is required in this kind of wedding?

    We got married in a self-uniting ceremony in PA. The only requirements were that we pronounce ourselves husband and wife, and two witnesses sign the license. When you apply for your marriage license, tell the county clerk first the you want a self-uniting license.

    In PA you can get your license in any county, it doesn't have to be the PA county where your wedding will be located.
