As you all know, planning a wedding presents many decisions and if you're someone like me, the food is on the top of the list, so I wanted to make sure my guests were served excellent food, in a good neighborhood that would showcase Chicago's fun side as well as a great, historic atmosphere that would give anyone a great Chicago experience. I requested private dining menus from at least 20 places in the city, prices ranged dramatically, some were out of control! I found Gibson's to be extremely reasonable (seriously, check it out, you'll be shocked), the private rooms were perfect and the woman helping me, Lynette, was very helpful which made our decision very easy, we would have our reception at the famous Gibson's!
Day of: Upon arrival, Lynette was waiting at the door leading guests into the private dining room, entering into the room, the bar was stocked, hors d'oeuvres passed, staff everywhere assisting everyone. Cesar, head wait staff guy (I think) introduced himself to me and my groom and told us to flag him if we needed anything. And oh my, was he ever RIGHT THERE to help. Everything from turning down the music while speeches were being made to refreshing cocktails to merely smiling and being pleasant. I could go on and on about the treatment we received, you get the point. The neighborhood, the food, the atmosphere, the staff, the experience...superb.
