Snow/Rain Boots

So - I've decided I need some type of waterproof boot.  Honestly - I'm not sure how I live in Pittsburgh and have yet to buy some.  But, anyway, not sure where to look.

So where'd you buy yours?  I'd lke to go out this weekend to get some, so preferably not an online only store. :)

I here you--I really didn't want to get them but going into my 4th New England winter and walking from public transportation, I decided it was necessary.  I bought mine at DSW (online, but I know they had them in my store too).  Let me see if I can find them.

I was just thinking this morning that I need a pair too.  My feet are freezing right now because my flats are soaking wet!  Grrr!

I decided the same thing last night - and got the LAST size 8 boot in 2 different stores. Seriously, the shelves are very picked over right now.

I got ones that look like this in black - http://www.footsmart.com/product.aspx?productid=4562&srccode=YDFR&cm_mmc=YDFR-_-Mercent-_-20100101-_-NA&mr:trackingCode=8D8AAF19-5AF9-DE11-BAE3-0019B9C043EB&mr:referralID=NA

Not sexy at all, but they're super warm (and I HATE the Ugg-styles) and were on clearance for $20. So I'm sporting my sensible footwear with skinny jeans at work today, lol

I got mine at Target, but need a new pair. They act like they are warm with their furry inside, but they are so not!

True story.  The reason I went kicking and screaming into buying these boots are because my other shoes are so much cuter!  I am often ruled by cute over function.

Those are cute, Colleen.  Jenn - they work.  I know this isn't the best time to buy them, but I could really use them.  Where'd you find them?

I'm not a fan of the Ugg styles either - I am leaning towards what Colleen posted, if I can find any I like in my size.

Thanks E.  I do get a lot of compliments and I do like the pattern better than most I see.  But the other night when I had to wear them with a skirt and cute sweater--blah!

Well - rain boots in general aren't the most attractive footwear - but a good pattern is a plus. :)

    Yeah - skirt, sweater and rain boots - it's a fashion statement. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-wink.gif" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" />

E - I got them at Marshall's last night. As I said, the boots are really picked over - not much available if you're not a size 5 or 6.

Haha I just posted this in my GM post! :)  I loath UGG boots.

I'm sporting "sexy" boots from London Fog, found at Kohls a few years ago.  But I was at D!ck's Sporting Goods last weekend and they had a really cute pair of Columbia snow boots.

PS: I have had to re-edit this post bc I was not permitted to post D!cks

I was looking at the D!cks website last night and I saw they had some nice ones.  Depending on the roads, I may take a shopping trip at lunch to the Waterfront today.

Definitely not a 5 or 6.  I'm an 8 or 9 - which, of course, so is pretty much everyone.

I have snow boots from Target that I love. I sprayed them with waterproofer stuff and they keep me dry and warm. I think they were $20. They aren't nice enough for work or anything, but they work to wear to the office then switch into cute heels!

I have two pairs of Hunter wellies that I love, along with a patterned pair from J. Crew and a lace-up black pair from Chooka:
