Anyone Recognize This Dress?

Hello!

http://pinterest.com/pin/202521314465140595/

Well, it seems like I've got the usual problem! I would really like to find the designer of this dress, so that I can buy the original. I have seen it ALL over Pinterest, but sadly it only links to Chinese knockoff websites. I want to support the original designer's work and buy the actual thing, NOT a cheap knockoff.

I have tried searching Google with the image, but had no luck finding out the name/designer of this dress.

I'm hoping someone will recognize it. Does anyone know?

Thank you for trying to help!

Re: Anyone Recognize This Dress?

  • I think it might be this dress:  http://www.mignonalexander.com/wed1 I've never heard of this designer and I'm not entirely sure if the site is legit, but that site is the closest thing to an actual designer I could find.

    Hi!

First off, let me thank you so much for taking time to look for me!

I checked out the site you linked. That -is- the dress, but that website is still selling a knockoff. The website features 2 different photos of the dress, one with actual crystals and a knockoff version with sequins, claiming they are the same.

The other problem is that some of the other dresses they have listed aren't THEIR original designs either. They don't credit the designers but say they will "custom" make them.

I really appreciate your help. It's pretty frustrating. I've spent a lot of time looking with no luck.

    DOES ANYONE RECOGNIZE THIS BEAUTY????
  • could it be by the designer pinia torni? her gowns are at klienfelds and she does a lot of gowns with crystals corset and see through tops and stuff that is over the top
  •          I think that's an older Pnina Tornai. I'm quite sure I saw it on an ep of Say Yes to the Dress. It might not be in production now.

hyechica81 and zizibet, thank you both for replying to my post!

I appreciate the tip about Pnina Tornai. You are both quite right, some of her things do look very similar, and I'm not going to rule her out as the designer.

I went to her website (not just Klienfelds, which only shows newer gowns) and checked out all the dresses she had posted all the way back to 2009. Still no luck. It's possible it's older...

However, I have still been unsuccessful in categorically being able to say who made it, when, or what the dress's name/model number is.

STILL LOOKING! If ANYONE knows any more info, please post! :)
