How much jewelry are you wearing?

Just curious.

How much did you wear or are you wearing?

As much as I'd love to have a bracelet for each wrist, a necklace, earrings, my rings, and a blinged headpiece, I think it will be too much. Especially because I want a brooch bouquet. So curious as to what other people are doing/have done.

Re: How much jewelry are you wearing?

  • I have a pair of longer earrings and a matching bracelet. I'm debating wearing a Swarovski cocktail ring that has a blue stone as my something blue.

I wore two dangly pearl earrings, three stud earrings, and a necklace with a single pearl. I also had a silver toe ring, and my e-ring and wedding band, obviously.
  • Other than my E-ring/wedding ring, I just wore one pair of dangly pearl earrings with (fake) diamond accents.

I had a lace mantilla veil for my ceremony, and my wedding dress had a lace neckline.  For me, more jewelry would have looked cluttered, and would have distracted from my dress.  And I actually don't wear any other rings since I got engaged.

It really depends on your dress/style.  I think it's always good to ask yourself, "Do I NEED this item? " and try removing it.  Try to see if it's enhancing the beauty of your dress, hair, and well, YOU, or if it's disguising/distracting.

I have a pendant pearl/crystal necklace and matching earrings and bracelet (all very simple) and an ankle bracelet with blue stones for my "something blue" but it'll be hidden.
  • In addition to my engagement ring, I'm wearing a crystal headpiece, a bracelet on each arm, and a huge blingy necklace.  I'm also getting my ears pierced and wearing some drop earrings.   I like the look of sparkle and so am indulging it on my wedding day.

I always wear earrings, a necklace, rings on each hand, a blingy watch and usually a bracelet every day. I'm a jewelry person...so it's the norm for me.

On the wedding day, I just skipped the watch. I also subbed out my usual dangly earrings for some aquamarine studs.

It's a decision you'll have to make when you get your dress.

  • Not sure yet, but my dress sash is sparkly and I plan on wearing a birdcage veil with some sort of hairpiece/headband thing. So possibly small stud earrings and my engagement ring, and that's it?

I'm a big fan of the classic maybe-not-actually-said-by-Coco Chanel advice to remove one accessory before leaving the house.
  • I'm planning on a necklace, dangly earrings, shoulder epaulettes, and maybe a bracelet (and e-ring, but i feel like thats a given) . I don't want to go overboard either (but at the same time, I do o.O) I'm planning on taking everything to the fittings and deciding from there.
I'm also doing a hat instead of a veil.

  • I would try on your dress somewhere private or when you go for a fitting and do a test run. I plan to do this.

I'm doing a double-strand of silver baroque pearls (my something old in addition to my engagement ring stone). Then I'm thinking a simple drop or stud earring and bracelet. I may have a little bit of bling on my veil too, haven't picked it yet. I'm trying to figure out how to coordinate with the silver pearls because they are so unique. I'm thinking of going with rhinestones and not even attempting to match.

They truly are like nothing else I've ever seen.
