Disaster - can anyone help

Ok where do I start , ok I am getting married in December and the place where I am getting married is a very dark room it's called the oak room as its at a country manor hotel. I had already decided on my colours of brown, then as time has gone on I had changed from brown to gold, I though yes great, then I have ordered my dress and gone for a gold dress as I didn't think. Now people Re saying on gosh it will look all too much gold, now I don't know what colours to have And to top it off the invites have already gone out in a brown colour so now major stressing. time is passing by and I need to start arranging flowers etc and I just don't know what to do. Has anyone has any advice I would be so grateful Thanks

Change the gold accents in your decor to ivory or white.  I promise, this is NOT a disaster.

Your invitations do not have to match your wedding colors. My colors were champagne and coral, and our invitations were pink and black.

You sent out invitations five months ahead of time? We are only sending out invites that early to our international guests. At least your guests won't possibly remember the color of them.

Yes a disaster may of been a bit over board it's very stressful when everyone critises when you are right it's nothing to do with them. If my dress is go,d what colour would the grooms wear ? Could he wear a white cravat ? Thanks

I'd be more worried that you sent your invitations out way too early.

My colors are gold and black. I'm wearing gold. It's not a huge deal. Let your FI wear whatever he'd like. Gold is a fairly neutral color - white goes with.

Accent colors can be very easily switched out.

I'm curious as to why invites went out so early though??

This.  Sending invitations absurdly early actually does have the potential to be a major headache.

You should figure out what you're going to do about that, and quit worrying about decor.

It is NICE that things match like decor and stationary, but it is NOT a requirement. It is fine that you wear a gold dress, have brown on the invitations and have an ivory, or other color decor. Just relax it will come together and be beautiful.
