Serious advice on shoes! Help!

Okay...I have been wracking my brain and wrecking my eyes searching for a pair of shoes to go with my homemade wedding dress. This is the pattern: http://butterick.mccall.com/b5708-products-15269.php?page_id=155

It's in a vibrant blue satin with white polka dotted (The dots being just a little smaller than the eraser on a #2 pencil)  bright blue organza overlay. I wish I had a pic of that, but I'm not finished with it quite yet. It's vintage, and I want a classy pair of shoes to go with! The ceremony is in a lovely garden, and it's going to be very intimate.

That being said....Do I go with white shoes? Nude? Or a blue to match? I would love a peep toe, 2-2 1/2 heel. I would love to be able to wear them again. I thought maybe something like this, http://www.modcloth.com/shop/shoes-heels/vivid-visit-heel ?

It's my second marriage, and I gave into the princess thing, but I wore crappy cheap shoes the first time. I want to be fun, original, somewhat vintage, and comfortable, as I plan on dancing! Someone please help! I'm at a loss and running out of time. (Wedding is August 24th)

I actually bought those shoes for my wedding! Miss L Fire and Poetic License make lots of fun shoes, you can try their websites, or amazon.uk. zappos also has a lot of shoes, and a great search system.

I like the thought of blue to match the print...but I think those shoes you linked are hideous...but that's my personal taste.

Your dress is a beautiful statement piece! It is going to be the star of your ensemble! Balancing a bold dress like that with bold shoes runs the risk of being too over the top, and can dilute from the wow factor of the dress. I suggest you look for simple accessories that support the look of the dress, without competing with it. Like a supporting cast for your star.

I would go with white shoes, blue will be too matchy-matchy and you may go crazy trying to find the right blue.

You're dress will be beautiful!! I vote no on the blue shoes though. You could do white, nude or silver would look good. What about a bright pop of color for the shoes like red, bright pink or yellow?
