Should I be honest?

Good Morning Ladies!

A friend of mine texted me last night with a picture of a dress and asked if it was okay to wear to my wedding. In all honesty, I don't give a damn what she wears! The dress is really cute, but it's definitely not something I would wear to a Saturday night wedding, especially since her bf is the BM, so he will be wearing a tux. If she just showed up in it, I wouldn't say anything (if I even noticed), but she asked if it was okay. Technically it IS okay, but, IMO, it's what I would consider entirely too casual.  FI and I disagree on what to tell her so I thought I'd get some honest opinions here (I promise not to call any of you bitches or cuntwaffles for being honest!). Should I tell her it's fine and she can wear whatever she wants (which is the truth) or should I be honest with her since she asked? TIA!

  • You're right. I knew we were reading into it way too much. Thanks!

If you don't give a damn what she wears then let her know that the dress is great and she should wear it.

And her BF being in the wedding and having to wear a tux has really no bearing on what she should wear.

  • If it's not suitable, she will look bad to the judgey guests. It will not reflect on you at all.

Agreed. I'm just thinking if it were me, I'd want to somewhat match the formality of my date .  But I guess that's her issue, not mine!
