New Jersey

Maritime / Liberty House / Hyatt JC

Hi all,

I'll be visiting these three venues shortly for an August 2014 date.  I don't want to have sticker shock (i.e., I want to keep my game face on) when they start going over pricing.  I plan on having 150-175ppl.  I'm not opposed to cocktail-style / buffet set-ups.

Does anyone have recent experience with pricing at any of these venues?  This will be my first time visiting any venues and just want to feel more prepared.

Thank you in advance!

  • Liberty House told me $185 and a discount for Sundays (and maybe Sundays) of 10%

  • I am also looking into Maritime and Liberty House for a summer 2014 wedding. I've received information from both venues. Here's what I've found out.

Maritime - I haven't received an estimate from them because they need more information. Their menu is a little more basic than LH but I've heard is better quality.

Liberty House - For cocktail/buffet style dinner, $178/person for Saturdays. They offfer 10% discount for Friday and Sunday weddings and even more for daytime receptions. Their menu options look really diverse but I have heard it's not up to par with what they serve in the restaurant. There's an extra charge if you are looking to hold your ceremony there as well but not outrageous.

    Hope that helps!
  • Thank you!

They actually just got back to me too!

I'm seeing Maritime on Tuesday, so if I get any good info I'll share it here :).
  • Thanks for the info gelaine - It's not cheap to have a wedding in Jersey huh? :)
  • LOL...nope not at all. After I got a verbal quote from LH I didnt even go look although I wouldve loved to have my wedding there bc of the views!!!

Keep us updated on which venue you do choose!

  • A close friend of mine had her wedding at Liberty House on halloween - she told me they got an amazing deal and planned the entire event in about 6 months.

Probably not what you had in mind, but it's worth a shot asking about some "not-so-popular" dates.
