Unfortunately I had quite a few
complaints. They were rude and disorganized and made some major mess ups like sitting my brother at the wrong table and having the bride and groom not sitting next to each other? Quite a few members of the wedding party complained to me
later about how rude some of the Valle Vista staff were to them
including my husband Ted. My brother who was in
the wedding party observed NUMEROUS guests from upstairs coming down
stairs and indulging in the open bar that WE payed for? So we weren't
just providing for our guests we were providing upstairs too for free!
It really made me feel taken advantage of.
Going down the list I was so disappointed in the disorganization
of Valle Vista. I spent hours and hours filling out paperwork specifying
how I wanted things to run and where I wanted people seated and almost
none of it was upheld. And I am not a picky person and was planning for a
few hiccups of course, but these were just ridiculous. The date of the
rehearsal I was asked who everyone was walking with and in what order,
which I didn't know off the top of my head because that information was
all in the packets I spent hours filling out before the wedding. Then on
the wedding day, a very stressful time as is, the staff AGAIN messed up
how we were all walking down the aisle and my bridesmaids had to help
and that happened again on the way into the reception and then when my
maid of honor tried to explain how it was suppose to be they told her
they had to go by their list, which I don't know what that was, but it
was nothing I filled out. We didn't get into the reception until an hour
after we were suppose to so everything was rushed and many of my guests
left before I even got to greet them. I don't know what the hold up was
because I was just waiting in the dressing room forever until we were
released into the rehearsal, which made no sense.
Apparently there was a party before ours in the reception hall,
which didn't make a lot of since so my mom witnessed people just kind of
throwing the place cards on tables randomly. Also, that situation
really ruined my mom's day because since she wasn't allowed to put the
flowers in until so late she missed helping me get ready and didn't get
to see me once before the wedding.
After the wedding, thinking that this may have just been a bad day for the Valle Vista staff I wrote an email with my concerns and was scheduled for a teleconference 2 months later at which point it is hard to remember details. In the teleconference the staff proceeded to belittle me and take no responsibility for anything that went wrong. They were very rude and disrespectful, which is no way to treat their customers. They pretty much claimed I was lying by telling them people were coming from other weddings into ours. Please for your own sake do not use them! Especially for a big wedding. They can't deal with "special requests" like a photo booth being brought in a half hour early?
Save yourselves and do not use this vendor!
