Hair Salon Recommendation?

Hi Knotties!!! I haven't lived in Pittsburgh for awhile, and so I don't have a hair salon here that I go to regularly. 

 I am getting married in the Oakmont / Shadyside area, and would love any suggestions!!  HELP please!

I assume you mean the Oakland area, not Oakmont? The latter and Shaydside aren't too close to one and another I had my hair done by Brooke Rockwell and her sister (they came to my hotel suite the morning of the wedding) and were fantastic for my girls and I. Her salon is right by the Consol Center but she will come to you too.

After going to half a dozen salons since moving here, I finally found one I like - Salon Christine. She used to be downtown and is now in Lawrenceville. Obviously not sure what your hair is like, but she was able to handle my very thick wavy hair and I didn't leave looking like a poorly layered poodle (like some of the other salons I went to). She also did a good job with color.

Good luck in the process to find a salon! I think that's the most daunting part about moving to a city!

Thanks everyone!! Actually I did mean Oakmont! The reason I said both of those is because my ceremony is in Shadyside but my reception is in Oakmont, and the hotel is right in between the two of them. So I figured I could swing either way.

There is a Cost Cutters in Verona. It's in the plaza in Verona, Rivertown shops. There are two girls there, Skye and Danielle, who can do things with updo styles you wouldn't believe. I am going to Skye for my wedding. It may not be some big fancy salon bt the girls all go to the same schools and learn the same stuff. You can save money, it's right next to Oakmont, and you will get a great style.

I may be biased because I used to work there, but I am also a stylist and I won't let anyone else touch my hair but Skye, she is amazing with bridal styles.
